If you have ever had a hydraulic line break you know the difficulty of replacement in the field. Having a way to cut out the bad spot, or the end, and get back to work until it can go to the shop is priceless. I have used fittings like this before and they have been lifesavers. I would not use these as a permanent solution but they work to get out of a pinch. They are simple to use, once you get the hang of them, but they go on easy. If the leak is in the middle of a line you can cut the line and install two of these ends with a union between them and get back to work or get to the shop.The packaging is nice, but somewhat unnecessary. The padding is velvety and very showy, but really doesn't serve a purpose.Having three sizes in a single kit is great. The three sizes are -4, -6, and -8. The pressure rating is 4000 psi which is plenty for all the systems I deal with.We have a hydraulic assist on our Jeep that uses -6 lines. we will carry these incase we ever have an issue on the trail.I would recommend a set of these to anyone that has hydraulic equipment that may not be close to a repair facility, farm equipment that may need hydraulic repair in the field or the weekend off roaders that want a little security for the cylinder assist.Nice product and really handy in a pinch.

These inspire confidence. They bite the hose very well and are built to a pretty high tolerance it seems. Haven't had one let go as of yet!

These fittings are well-designed and machined. As long as you have a clean cut on your hydraulic hose these fittings will easily twist on by hand (fully tightened with wrench) making repairs "in the field" quick and easy. This 3-piece set has 1/4-, 3/8- and 1/2-inch size fittings to fit the most used sizes of hydraulic hose. Keep some of these handy if anything you use has hydraulic hoses.
