This book is everything we need in 2020.
This book gold. If you want to spice up your quarantine video chats and feel closer to your family during the pandemic (or in general), this is the book for you. It has everything from easy and light questions to deep and philosophical questions. There are questions I wouldn’t have naturally thought to ask and my family has been delighted to reminisce about themselves. I just wish there were more lines/space for the answers. Regardless, we are buying more - 1 for each parent and grandparent because there’s stuff we want to know!

This is a book that I'm sure I'll cherish forever!
I bought this book when my dad told me he had tumors in his bladder. My first reaction to the news was that it can't be cancer, and selfishly, if it was cancer... I'm not ready for him to leave me because 30 years with my dad isn't long enough. I thought the title of this book was so morbid/sad, but it's so true. As soon as I got the book, I flipped through the book with my husband reading the questions aloud. The majority of them I had never asked my dad before and I cannot wait to hear his answers. I haven't started the book with him, but I'm so excited to. The book leaves room for me to write his answers, but I'm going to bring extra lined paper, just in case there's not enough room. I'm happy that we will be able to keep this in the family to pass down for generations... regardless what his tumors end up being and whether he is with us for 5 more months or 15 more years.

Gift for Mom's 70th
Great book! I gave this to my mom for her 70th birthday. There were a few other older family members there and we read the questions aloud and let them all answer. It was fascinating! Like our own history lesson. I only wish we had more time to get through more questions. I told my mom she didn't have to "write in" the answers, but that we could just pick a few questions to discuss over dinners. There are several different sections that ask a series of questions grouped together -- from your childhood, your beliefs, love, world events. Highly recommend.

Fun and challenging.
I received this as a gift and pick it up a few times a week and answer some questions. (The questions don’t need to be answered in any order.) Once I get most of the questions answered, I’ll give it to my adult children. I will become a momento for them to remember me and understand my values. I highly recommend this book.

These are great questions to ask yourself... 💜
Not only are the questions in this book a great resource for family history when recording the life and times of parents or grandparents, this is a wonderful tool to examine your own life if you're in your older years. Of course it is ideal if you can use this book as a genealogist's guide if your family is still living. If you are a grandparent, though, as I am, and a genealogist, use this book as a guide to record your own history for future generations. I would suggest this book is a wonderful way to look back at your life at a time many of us are searching for answers and meaning in our own reflections!

Questions to ask B4 it’s too late
Get their story before it’s too late. Great gift for Grandparents too. Word of mouth history is being lost. Story tellers are far and too few now a days. Have that special someone share their story, documenting their life’s story using this book. Not only a gift of their story but in their own hand writhing to share for generations to come

A bit much
This book does contain 300 questions to ask my mother, but it wasn't the 300 questions I was hoping for. I was hoping for more family relationship questions, and not so much questions about how she was raised, or what big mistake she had made and learned from. The answers to these questions would give me a lot of insight into who she is, and why she grew up the way she did, but it was not what I was hoping for. If you are looking to write your parents' biography, this is your book.

SO HELPFUL to those who have difficulty finding things to talk about with their parents.
Although I feel like I have a good relationship with my parents, I feel like I don't know who they are beyond being my parents. I never know what to talk about or what to ask them. I just got the book today and with just the first question - both started to recounting memories of their childhood. My dad excitedly talked about his first job. My mom told us a hilarious story of her childhood that brought me to tears. Both talked about my grandparents - I knew even less about all four of them. All these feels right from the start. I feel like I am miles closer to them with just 1 out of the 300 questions. In my eyes, that already makes this book priceless.

A wonderful book for easing the dying process for both parents and children, whatever their age.
A wonderful book for helping a parent who is dying still feel they can contribute and be important, for helping bond with a parent before they pass away and for getting the answers to questions you probably would never otherwise think how to ask.
