Sonic Classic 1991 Ultimate Figure

First of all, I must point out that I'm a high end statue and vinyl collector, so I'm used to spending a crazy amount of money on resin statues and vinyl figures. That said, this is one of the lowest price figures I have in my collection and is currently one of my absolute favourites.I feel like Tomy got everything right with this figure. I'm an 80's child, therefore it's a dream come true to get a decent pose able version of the Sonic I grew up with and at this price it's a no brainer. They have absolutely nailed his classic look from the facial expressions down to the colours. They even gave him a pixel style base which is an amazing touch AND you can use it to store his many mouth expressions, eyes and gold ring.He is very articulated and the joints feel sturdy. I have a Ghouls N Ghosts Arthur figure that feels very flimsy compared to this and that cost 85 dollars. The blue part is made from a smooth plastic material which gives it a quality vinyl feel. The figure stands very well on his own due to sturdy joints, but for more dynamic poses (such as running) you can use the provided stand to prop him up.If you have the Kidrobot blind box figures, you can make a really nice mini diorama. I used Sonic's stand to prop tails up in the scene. I'm posing Sonic with the chilli dog even though I wasn't that into the cartoon. He just looks too cool with it! If they make Tail and Knuckles, they will be instant buys for me.

I got this for $17 on sale and I'm extremely pleased with it. It's cute, relatively poseable, sturdy, and comes with a number of different eye, mouth, and hand attachments. The base also stores all these extra parts, and the box even includes a makeshift Green Hill Zone diorama background. I think it's just as high quality as a Nendoroid while being a fraction of the price. Perfect for any classic Sonic fan.

My 8 year old daughter has been OBSESSED with Sonic The Hedgehog for past year or so. For her birthday she, of course, wanted Sonic toys. She got specific about the different kinds of Sonics (I didn't even know there were different versions!) & I became very confused about what she wanted. Therefore, I set up an Amazon Sonic wishlist (God bless wishlists because without them I would be lost!) for her & asked her to add whatever she wanted & I would choose her gifts from there. When the time came to purchase her birthday gifts a couple of weeks ago I began looking through the list & saw this product. I wasn't exactly clear on what it was but it was Sonic, the price was right & it was on her wishlist. I clicked buy & waited. It arrived, I looked at it and still unclear on what it was, I wrapped it up. Today she opened it & I FINALLY realized what it is and let me tell you: it is AWESOME! The best, easiest way I can describe this toy is: it's a Sonic The Hedgehog Mr. Potatohead-like toy (I know an avid collector is yelling at me right now for describing it this way lol. But for a mom like me who's just looking for a gift for their Sonic obsessed kid, I feel like the term "Mr. Potatohead-like" is the best way to describe it). It includes the base & a Sonic figure. Inside the base there are 4 different eyes, nose/mouth & 4 different pairs of hands. Essentially, she can mix & match Sonic's facial expressions & hands (thumbs up, pointing, fists, etc). She can make his face with eyes closed, mouth whistling & giving thumbs up. Or she can click in open eyes, smiling & hands pointing. And so on and so forth. The accessories also include two pieces to connect Sonic's feet to the base & post his feet & hands. This allows her to pose the figure running, standing, etc. The figure itself is posable & really sturdy. This isn't delicate so I'm confident it'll be able to withstand the unwittingly aggressive way my daughter sometimes handles her toys. For my Sonic obsessed girl this figure was the best gift ever. She opened it this morning & has literally been busy playing with it all day. Another thing I really loved about it is that the base is designed to fit all the accessories which will avoid lost pieces and, consequently, tears. It's almost bedtime now so she chose to click in the closed eyes because Sonic will be sleeping too. She put all the accessories away inside the base and placed the entire figure on her desk. It's definitely bigger than the typical toy figures but not obnoxiously huge. It looks perfect on her average sized desk. In terms of height, I would say the Sonic figure itself is about the height of a Mr. Potatohead. However, the base on which it's posed adds about an inch and a half of height. In closing, all I want to say is that I'm EXTREMELY happy with this purchase. If you have an older Sonic obsessed kid like I do I'm certain they will love this figure. It'll give them hours of entertainment & you'll earn tons of happy, thankful hugs & kisses.

Upon receiving the product, the package was in excellent condition, the only thing missing was the flap on top of the package that keeps the box itself from accidentally opening. However, that is not what Sonic was intended for. Let him breathe and set him up for display among your gaming room, living room, kitchen, garage, wherever you want him to be! I did take him for a car ride but he kept moving around so I wouldn’t recommend that.Configuration: Sonic is big enough to allow you to easily configure him the way you want him to look. He comes with several hand, eye, and face pieces so you can give him a surprised/smirky/confused/excited look. Quality of these pieces were excellent and easy to put together.He also comes with his classic chili dog and gold ring to remind you of your childhood tv series, as well as the classic pixelated grass stand from the original game. The ring itself has an anchor piece to display, I’ve included it in the photos to give you an idea on size ratio.All-in-all, I’m very happy with Sonic. Sometimes, you gotta go fast, and other times you gotta have attitude. With Sonic, you can have both! I hope this review helps with any hopeful buyers, because this is a great product for a great price.

This is more like an action figure than a collectible. My 8 year old loves it! It comes with accessories and was cheaper here on Amazon. It was well packaged and arrived quickly.

So much love! Always loved the classic Sonic The Hedgehog, grew up watching the cartoons of the 90's, and heck, I still watch it from time to time and i'm 35. Lol. Classics will never die for me, no matter how old I get. I will happily collect my happy memories! The quality of this figure is amazing, I really love everything about it. It looks like a high quality Japanese figure. ( Because we all know they make the best detailed figures. I also collect anime figures and a lot of them are from Japan. :) )

It was cool, very sturdy comes with 17 things and its five inches! It’s came out in 2018 and I think it will last a very long time it taken care of properly😎

This review is solely based on appearance / upon delivery as it is a present for someone else and I'm unable to advise if it's any good. The toy looks great, as seen in photo the hand had fallen off upon delivery, it is a detachable piece so I guess its an easy thing to happen. However, as seen in photo there is a white mark top right of Sonics chest which I'm not happy about as its meant to be "new" condition.

I got this a few weeks ago for my friends birthday as he is a huge Sonic fan and collector!My friend was really happy with this gift and it came in great condition and reasonableprice for what you get also it came on time.

This figure is for collectors and not for kids you can do nearly any pose and the and paint is near perfect perfect for any shelf!

Son loves this, very good quality, looks great in all its different positions and face/hand poses, although a bit fiddly to change around, it has a little storage bit in the base for the extra bits, to keep them all together, which is handy.
