high quality shielded cable, grounded casing
I got this half expecting not all 8 wires were hooked up. I was pleasantly surprised to see 4 twisted pairs, a plastic separator / strengthener in the middle, foil shield, and a ground wire going to the metal shield on both ends. This is a well made cable with the right amount of twisting of the pairs, and a good copper conductor.

It is not American Made. I look for products made in America and it is sad so much is not available. It is well made. Works fine for the application.

Bought this to use on a recently purchased Technics remote control unit from early 80s. Works flawlessly sending signals from base unit to cassette deck.

Does NOT fit the EXT.CONT port on a Kenwood TS-2000
I bought this specifically to see if I could cut it up and use an end of it on the EXT.CONT port of my Kenwood TS-2000. The pins are not aligned the right way for that port, so it was a complete waste of money for me. If you're looking for that connector, this ain't it.However, it's a perfectly good cable for other purposes, I'm sure, hence 4 stars.
