Solid choice for NAS cache—great performance for the price
I bought two of these 1TB Kingston NV3 drives to use as read/write cache in my NAS, and after a few days of testing, they’re performing better than expected. Installation was simple (standard M.2 2280), and both drives were recognized immediately by my NAS system. So far, they’re doing a great job handling heavy read/write activity—transfers are smooth and response times have definitely improved, especially with frequent-access files and large data sets. While these are DRAM-less drives, they’ve held up well under sustained usage in cache mode.Temps stay cool even with constant operation, and power consumption is minimal, which is exactly what I need in a 24/7 setup.Pros:• Affordable and reliable PCIe Gen 4 x4 performance• Works great as NAS cache (read/write)• Low temps and low power draw• Easy setup, no hiccupsCons:• DRAM-less design might not be ideal for all workloads• Write speeds dip under very heavy sustained load (which is expected at this tier)Bottom line:If you’re building a cost-effective NAS and need a fast, reliable cache layer, these drives are a great value. They’re not high-end TLC drives, but for caching purposes, they punch well above their price point.

Great price, brand, and functionality. Entry-level SSD.
Nice budget SSD. Does everything any other M.2 NVMe SSD can do. Works great for the AMD Ryzen build I just finished.Info for Buyersđź”˝M.2 NVMe is the newest, fastest type of SSD. Hard drives and plug-in solid state drives are much slower.Remember: 1 TB of storage capacity is only 1000 GBs and most games these days take up anywhere from 60 to 120 GBs, sometimes more. So this is a starter SSD in terms of space.Compatible with any motherboard that has M.2 slots. Installs easily like other M.2 NVMe SSDs: slide it in, lock it down, and boom! Best in class data storage with best in class movement of said data as well.

Good upgrade for my Asus laptop!
I replaced a 256gb ssd in a VivoBook I bought a few years ago. It was a relatively easy, inexpensive upgrade and works great. It’s faster than the original and boots quickly after a clean Windows install.

This SSD is a true marvel!. The speed difference is huge compared to a SATA SSD
Kingston NV3 500GB SSD ReviewThis SSD is a true marvel! 🚀 The speed difference is huge compared to a SATA SSD or a traditional hard drive. Installation was super easy, fitting perfectly into the M.2 slot on my motherboard. What impressed me most is its read and write speeds. It more than delivers on its promise, reaching speeds of up to 5000 MB/s. Games load in the blink of an eye, and the operating system boots in seconds. It's ideal for those looking to significantly improve their PC's performance, whether for gaming, video editing, or simply for smoother everyday use. The price-performance ratio is fantastic. For a very affordable price, you get next-generation PCIe 4.0 technology that feels high-end. If you're thinking about upgrading your storage, don't hesitate. This Kingston NV3 is a smart and powerful choice. Highly recommended! 👍

Good SSD
This ssd is great, however, for its price, you might as well pay the few extra bucks for the faster 1TB version. But if you get this, it is great, its speed is good enough for gaming.

Kingston is a brand everyone has heard of.
Works as advertised. I added this drive to my new mini PC (a Beelink SER5) to be my Linux drive. It loads up fast and I have plenty of room for video and music. Since it is a SSD there is no noise of course. My PC includes a heat sink for the drive and everything is running cool. Kingston is a major brand in the memory business so it should last a good while.
