Every mother of a daughter should read this before the relationship gets rough!
Cheri and Ali share their story which is a story many of us can relate to as mothers of adult daughters. We love our girls and are baffled at the turn in our relationship "to the dark side" as our daughters grow up. The insights in this book were life changing for me and because of the change in me, my relationships with my daughters have been healed and strengthened. I never realized until I read this book that I often sabotage myself in my relationships with my girls. I am so thankful for this book and all the good it has down for me and my daughters that I have bought numerous copies to give away to friends who are walking that same sad and heartbreaking road. Read this book if you have daughters!!!

Every mom should read this
Such a great book! I am so thankful that I spent the money to buy it. Its worth every penny and time. Your relationship with your daughter is the best thing God created, yes it sure is, and your husband and sons as well.

One-Sided
I bought this book with the hopes of both myself & my daughter getting some guidance on how to communicate better. Instead I got a book that makes excuses for daughters behaviors while instructing moms to change who they are only. I understand that change needs to happen but life is about compromise. Very disappointed in this book.

Hit the nail on the head
The mother, Cheri, is me. Everything she says I totally understand but I so much want to understand the daughter. I love A Daughter's Perspective. Ali makes me feel better because I feel like she's giving me insight into my own daughter. Thank you both. I consider this one of my bibles.

Family therapy without the therapist
Great book! On point in so many ways from a parental and daughter perspective. Good way to initiate a mutual understanding and avoid the power and respect struggle.

Don't waste your money
I think I am a fair person and would not normally write negativity but I thought it is fair to say the following for other readers as I often look at other readers review before I purchase books. That said I don't believe that my review is negative but a help to others.I bought this book thinking that it would be a nice read on my vacation. Was I ever disappointed. This mother-daughter relationship was, well looks like there was no relationship. This daughter had so many problems in her life and the mother, well I'm not judging her but seems like she had a very difficult child to deal with and given her credentials, I did not expect so much drama. One thing though - it did make me realize how beautiful I have been raising my daughter and so grateful that she was/is not involved in these negative influences. The title of this book is SO misleading.

Relatable
I enjoyed this book, it was totally relatable, it was like they had been watching mine and my daughter’s relationship. Learned a lot and when I apologized and asked my daughter to forgive me, I knew then that had turned a corner and as a mom I am grateful the Lord led me to this book.
