I thought I had a defective piece of gear as the release knob looks like it's just spring loaded, but actually needs to be turned to release. Mine was stuck and I contacted the vendor and the support was OUTSTANDING! They sent me a replacement without being asked and helped me figure out the issue. Really great people, and a great addition to anyone's kit!

This is a great V-Mount solution if you don't have a rig. It just clicks to the bottom of your camera with an ARCA Swiss Mount, and it works very well. The metal feels heavy duty, and there's no wobble or instability to be found. I like that you can adjust how far back the battery is from the camera. It's just a great quality mount for your video needs. Highly recommend.

Is NEWER making really good quality designed engineered and quality MACHINED metal products, or have we just gotten to good quality design here now in 2024.Out of the box I’m impressed with the metal machining and durable feeling that reminds me of back in the day steel parts from Panavision and Redd And Arri when inshot solely 35mm before the “DSLR” age, I think. I bi-passed until BLACK MAGIC DESIGN gave us the, no compromise BMPCC without having to “fudge” from interlaced to stacked bad codec stills to now.I got this with the NEWER digital battery pack I used the day I received it to shoot 7 music videos and came home to the v-mount arriving and so far, so far gone good.Removable quick release base plate, horizon sliding back to make perfect room for laying this horizontal and the battery pack I only used maybe 15% of the battery for the shoot with no cut offs, a quick usb-c charge the night before as most lotus come a lil less than 1] charged in the mail, annnnnd I can not wait to shoot more. Sitting at my SWEET TEA CAFE all rigged up and ready to shoot some sexy cloud time lapse and slo-mo.Never left many reviews and decided today with a well worth well spent purchase. I’m happy.BMPCC 6kSmall rig cage I bought for my 4k and found out it fits jus as perfect , duhhhh, on my 6k,Small rig monitor rig that was bundled with the purchase ( way better than my articulating goose neck, and 12v tap also bundled with 8v also going out from the NEWER digi battery into the monitor reducing my weight from having to have another battery on monitor.✌🏽❤️&😇(Soul)

I like this plate, it works just as advertised and holds my batteries in place. I tried it with Neweers 099 battery without issue as well as Smallrigs massive 212wh battery. It'll work with anything that has a mini V-mount mounting point. I noticed a few other reviewers attempting to use the onboard screen on their cameras which is fine but I believe this product is intended to be used with an external monitor since it sits right behind said screen. Its a great spot to keep larger batteries since it keep the balance point towards the center of the rig and its a central location for keeping wire runs short. I am yet to use this thing with my RSC2 but i'm sure it'll work fine since it helps keep things balanced. I like that it comes with a baseplate, I can always use more arca plates in my bag. All in all, this is a great way to save a few bucks instead of going with Smallrig or Tiltas options.

This is an amazing V-mount plate for the price! It works great and connects to the camera setup easily! Simple to use and love that it folds up! A great value and price! Highly recommend!

Coming from a full 12 inch 15mm rail system I was trying to still carry my v mount battery on rig without needing the same footprint.I was prepared to go smaller but I had no idea just how small I could get. Because the mount folds down to allow access to the back of your camera you get maybe a little over an inch between the two. I am in love with just how small this package is and it has changed how I carry.The build quality and fit and finish are on point. I have a lot of Neewer product and sometimes you get what you pay for. This is punching above its price point imo.

Using this on a sony fx6. Its great!! Locks tight and fit and finish is superb!

There are a few mounts for V Mount batteries, this one is more adaptable, but really its down to individuals needs. I initially bought a cheaper model then found it had disadvantages for my set up, better to find someone who already has a rig with a similar set up , will save you money in the long run.

When I remove the arca quick release plate, I like that I can fold the battery mount plate down flat and it packs into a bag better; I did not have any trouble installing this onto my tripod and mounting a v-mount battery. I appreciate that the v-mount also comes with a small trapezoidal plate that allows me to secure other types of accessories that have 1/4-inch threading.Construction wise, the metal feels very sturdy and robust; I love that the knobs, buttons, levers and switches are metal. I did not see any physical damage nor imperfections with the exterior finishes.I appreciate that mounting plate can extend outward to allow me some clearance with the knobs on my tripod; I believe it can be useful for adjustable the handheld weight balance of a mobile camera rig setup. With the bottom being an arca type shape, it can quickly add or swap it onto a rig or tripod.To get the small lever to clear the battery: Positioned the plate to where I wanted and locked it in with the lever; as a final step, I slotted the v-mount battery into place.
