Great so far; slightly smaller size and weight
This is a smaller size covered enameled cast iron braiser pan, 2.25-qt capacity but still a good size. Many similar braiser pans are 3.8-qt or 3.3-qt. This pan is large enough for many one-pan recipes and cooking meats, but not large enough for some recipes such as large chili recipes. This pan has some features that the very expensive brands have and I like it so far.The base is flat and fits my largest cooktop eyes well, almost covering them. I also have the Amazon Basics 3.3-qt braiser pan which I also like a lot, but it is bigger and much heavier, even though I'm used to heavy cast iron. This one is much easier for me to handle and I therefore prefer it, if the recipe will fit. See photos for comparison. Both are good values, seem to be decent quality, and are much, much less expensive than the famous brands. So far I've not had any problems with chipping (if they chip in normal use I'll try to return them), nor with food sticking to them. As recommended, I use low to medium heat on the stovetop; high heat can be used in the oven. The lids are oven safe too. Cast iron is heavy, so of course I'm very careful to set the pan down gently on my glass cooktop and not slide it around.Clean-up has been a breeze in the sink using Dawn dish detergent. I use silicone spoons and spatulas with them as recommended. The rims appear to be dark bare cast iron, so as with any cast iron don't put them in the dishwasher. I'm glad the rim is not enameled as that would be a place more likely to chip. If storing for an extended time, I'll rub a bit of cooking oil on the bare iron rims to avoid any rust. If used frequently this probably isn't necessary if dried completely before putting away. The dark cyan color is similar to a dark teal, although it appears more greenish than blue to me. (I was hoping for more blue, but it's a lovely color regardless.) I like that the color graduates to an even darker tone at the edge of the lid and bottom of the pan, and it has circular accents on the lid, as many of the $300 braisers do. The lid also has the little bumps inside that are supposed to distribute moisture onto the food more evenly. I've had this pan for almost a month and so far I'm very pleased and impressed with it. I'm not sure what a similar sized much more expensive pan could do that this one can't, unless it proves to be less durable after more use.If any problems occur later, especially chipping in normal use, I'll try to come back and edit the review. So far so good.

Very Happy with the Purchase
I always wanted a cast iron braiser but never got one because of the weight. I bought this one because of the smaller size and therefore lighter weight. Even though I have only owned it for a month, I have used it several times each week. I am very pleased with it and glad that I tried this first instead of spending three hundred dollars.

Nice and heavy but….
It burns on the bottom fast so you have to have really low heat

it’s alright :(
beautiful color, everything sticks, the cleaning process is a lot longer than ideal because it sticks, maybe we are doing something wrong with it but right now it’s just stove decor :/

Cook evenly. I keep it on the stove to add a pop of color to a white range.
Fabulous! Cooks evenly. Some enamel chipping so mindful handling is important.
