Millions of kids from the 1960's to 2000 enjoyed their Big Wheel. When it was introduced to the world in 1969, the Big Wheel Tricycle immediately became a national success! The Original Big Wheel provided fun play for millions of children and enhanced the early development of their motor skills. Because of its huge popularity, many of today's parents have special childhood memories that include endless hours of joy on their Big Wheel.

The good and bad of the Princess Big Wheel
My granddaughter likes her Princess Big Wheel OK, but she loves her baby brother's First Big Wheel much better. The First Big Wheel was purchased already assembled from the factory and is much stronger and better made. If the Princess big wheel were factory assembled instead of pieces put together by inept parents and grandparents, I believe a better product would be had. Our Princess Big Wheel that we ordered, the pedal keeps falling off, and we find it lying everywhere. The Big Wheel in the front is extremely wobbly, and looks like it could just fall off at any time. This is not like the Big Wheels my children had growing up and rode day and night, which is really sad. I wanted my grandchildren to experience the pleasure of owning a Big Wheel. This one is disappointing. Even my 4 year old granddaughter can tell the difference in sturdiness and quality. She says the small one is "better."

Great fun for a limited time only
Easy assembly, I gave three stars because the front wheel ended up wearing away and developing a huge hole after 6 months of light use. Had to trash it.

The Big Wheel
I am very happy about the Big Wheel however it was given as a gift for Christmas .I need more time to give an opinion on it but looks like great fun. I had a problem on having a missing part but the problem was resolved in record breaking speed thanks to Eva who worked with me on getting all I needed. She was the very best in solving my problem and being a people person.

Disappointed by this Flimsy, Hard-to-Assemble Toy
Several problems with assembly: I had to use a cordless drill to bore out plastic left over from the molding process that was preventing me from attaching the rear axle; As others have mentioned, the pedals have been impossible to assemble correctly as the crude washer blocks the axle as it tries to fit into the pedal (you'll see what I mean if you're unfortunate enough to buy one); and the small fittings that attach to the fork and hug the big wheel had no pilot holes for the screws, once again necessitating the cordless drill. It's flimsy, as well. Even though my daughter can't use the pedals because they're still screwed up because of the washer, as she pushes it along with her feet the front wheel--aka Big Wheel--is loosening from the pedals because of the shoddy way they have you put it together. I'm getting different washers for the pedals and will try them, but at this point I can't recommend this incarnation of the Big Wheel. I guess the secret craft of the Ancients regarding Big Wheel construction was lost in the late 70s, and now we're left with this crappy, cobbled together imitation.

My Daughter Loves This!!!
I don't understand why this product received such poor reviews. There are many more expensive "big wheel" type toys they could have purchased. For the money, we are very pleased with this Princess Big Wheel.I had to put this together myself. It was a little difficult because I am not used to having to put things together and not too handy with tools! My daughter waited patiently while I was sweating while putting it together. I did get frustrated a few times during the assembly I didn't think I had enough strength, but I was able to put it together. My daughter rides this every single day. She is 6 and it fits her perfectly. She loves it and is so happy she has this big wheel!

disappointed
[...]. Even though this product is held out as"the original big wheel", it is no where near as sturdy or as fun. I have a three year old and a six year old. The peddles are too far for the 3 yr old, but I dont think that really matters since my six year old could barely get it to move. The front wheel constantly slips, and makes it impossimle to peddle over a hairline crack in the pavement. After 2two hours, the toy was a mishaped piece of plastic, with the fork bent, the handle bars drooping, and the back falling off of the seat. I wish that I could claim this experience as an aberration, but I have assembled two of these (too much infor for this review). [...].

My granddaughter loves hers!
We got this Big Wheel for our granddaughter's 4th birthday and she loves it so much that she has worn it out! We need to buy a new front wheel. It was easy to put together. (My husband did it - but I watched!) This may be true for other big wheels, I don't know, but the front wheel does slip quite a bit when she tries to take off. Tonight I am on line to buy a new front wheel. I think I am going to have to buy my 4 year old grandson one (NOT PINK, of course!). They fight over it. I sure don't remember paying $$$ this much for one, though!
