The pack contents are clearly labelled, and the instructions take you through the many necessary actions clearly.The result is a good chair, which is readily converted into a library step. There are clips to hold it in chair mode, but none to keep it in step mode. That isn't a problem in itself, but I didn't find the step very stable, as its base seemed too small.The wood is strong, and the fixings robust.
