First of all, be sure to align the arrows for assembly, and twist about a good quarter turn. You can use some sugar water, or apple juice, both seem to work after they discover it- be patient, it may take a few days for fermenting to happen. The trap is a classic design, as the entrance is wide on the outside, but skinny on the inside. Additionally, it protrudes inward a good bit, so they can’t really just walk around the walls and get out. I’m sure a few may have escaped but most likely stayed in. I’ve got 12 yellow jackets in about a week, and I’d imagine more to come as they keep finding it.

Just hung last night and nothing yet but it’s breezy today so we’ll see how it works over the next few days:). No instructions so that doesn’t help but was able to put together no problem. Seems to be made well and will def be reusable…if it works. I am hopeful:) Work like a charm....updated to 5 stars. I ended up using dogfood in this instance because I feed my 130lb outside with wet food and the bees would just swarm arround her food so I put a little in this trap and wow it worked. Very happy. Should have taken another pic would have been a little gross though:)Oh and that plastic thing clicks together and adds a great cleaning tool...don't have to buy something or settle with using a dish one, little bonus I think:)

Price is right. But mystery itmes and no instructions leave me to wonder if it will work?

These traps seemed to allow the yellow jacket/insects to escape. In observation, I witnessed them, crawling back out the hole a little disappointment. Clear instructions not unavailable as a lot of products have been lately

The second day we had these out the bees had discovered them and were swarming them. Which was great but by night time every single one of them had escaped. It hadn’t killed a single bee. They were assembled correctly.

Has been working great for wasp trap took a little to figure the right type of bait went with these because they also offer great decor for fall

Autumn is my favorite season so I love these traps and they are such a good price. We have an issue with yellow jackets/hornets and it is a good time of year to trap them. The instructions are on the side of the box and it has an insert with recipes depending on what you are trying to trap. My favorite part is the cleaning tool which I am using for my hummingbird feeders for now. We did catch several flies in the first day and I may change the recipe to get more hornets. For this price, I am going to order some more. They look much better than the ugly fly traps I use in the spring and summer.

I put honey in it and they love it. I have a more expensive trap about 10 feet away but they like this one better. if you can see in the pic it is filled. I only bought this about 20 days ago.
