Sticky Situations 2: 365 Devotions for Elementary Kids

My daughter loves reading these daily! She was introduced to the book by her teacher and discuss them together at home now too.

I home school my son who is a survivor of a traumatic brain injury. Part of his brain damage involves behavior issues and lack of impulse control. This book has been an excellent way to back up the lessons we have been teaching him (over and over and over) for years. He is *shocked* and thrilled every single day when the answer to the problem is found in the scriptures! There have been times in his life when he has told people he did not "believe in the bible," but this book has helped him achieve a greater understanding of the truths held within the Word. He may not always apply the lessons, but I find comfort in knowing the lessons we teach him are backed up by scripture consistently and often in many different places. This book is easy to use, easy to read, short and sweet yet thought and conversation provoking. I strongly recommend it for ALL parents wishing to reinforce the way the bible is fully applicable to today's sticky situations.

We started reading this book as we have entered public school life. It’s been great for starting good conversations. Love the verse references included.

We help with homeschooling our grandkids once a week. I often use "Sticky Situations" for the opening devotional. There are many situations to choose from, and they are great for prompting discussion, letting the kids offer solutions, other thoughts. However the verses chosen could be much better. I usually have to substitute a more appropriate verse. Overall, pleased.

I bought this book on a referral from a friend after hearing her tell fun stories about how she and her grandsons spent time together discussing the answer choices they made. While some of the answers are very obvious, it is a good discussion-starter about "why" that answer is the obvious/right one, and what might happen if another option is chosen. My kids enjoyed it so much they took it for show tell and loaned it to their friends!
