This Aurora Paper shredder is amazing it grindes up just about anything from paper, light cardboard, credit cards, dvd,cd into the littlest cross-cuts peaces mico cut i have ever seen, it is so quiet when running the durability, size, weight and power is fantastic a long with the casters make it easy to roll around. The only Con I have I wish the slot was a little wider like my old one was but still it works fine when you get use to it. I would recomend this to any one looking for a sherdder. It takes 12 sheets at a time if needed. sure there are bigger and better if you need a more powerfull but at this cost i found it to be just right i hope this helps others wanting to buy. it came packaged great with no damage to anything. you don't need to use the casters but i did making it easyer to pull from out behind the counter when i need to use it.

We purchased this shredder because we needed one that does not heat up in such a short time. We really love this shredder. It shreds multiple papers and IT IS VERY QUIET. As a matter of fact, I shredded documents while my husband was asleep and it did not wake him up. Also it has a drawer bin so it is very easy to throw away the shredded papers. Our old one was difficult because we had to lift the top part to get to the shredded paper and it was such a hassle. This one is great because we just pull the drawer. We really love this and so glad we chose the right shredder for us. Love love love.

Great home paper shredder! I found myself inundated with files of paper containing sensitive data after becoming the executor of the estates of three family members in a row, one of whom held onto every tax filing and medical record for the past 40 years. After looking at the pros and cons of multiple shredders I settled on this one, and am astounded at how efficiently and quietly it shreds. While it is rated for up to 12 sheets at a time, I choose to max it at half that for the most part. Yes, it can do 12, but you can hear the change in how it sounds - it's obviously working harder, so I prefer not to risk overloading it or having it overheat, and just keep continuously feeding smaller batches. Its pretty sturdy, although I wish the pullout receptacle basket were thicker plastic and didn't have as much flex to it as it does. The shredded pieces are about 3/8" x 1/8" which I like. I've had no issues with it jamming and it chops up staples with ease so you don't have to worry about removing them. Very pleased with this purchase.

Update 9/27/2026: The second unit I received is working well, but I've still only used it less than a year. This is a very good shredder that easily micro-cuts up to 12 pages at a time, including credit cards. The weight and size is nice to fit into an office, and it is quieter than many shredders. This is a good home office professional shredder, and the micro-cut of the paper is 1/2" X 3/16". The shredded paper is a level P-4 security, it has an anti-jam auto reverse feature, and comes with a 5 gallon bin insert on wheels. In one of the photos, the micro-cut strips for the Aurora are on the right, while a less expensive 8-page Questlemon shredder on the left. Note: I had an electronic issue with the first shredder within the one year warranty, and customer service replaced the unit free of charge and shipping. That shredder was used lightly, and the blades were oiled regularly, so the electronic fault was not from overuse or misuse. Thus in my instance, customer service was excellent, but the durability is questionable. I will update later on the new unit.

I compared price with both Office Depot and Best Buy for this type of shredder,very well priced. Also the 'shredder works very well,large container and with cross shredding it will hold more and shreds so you cannot decipher what was shreded. The machine is quiet and efficient.

This machine can eat a lot of paper. I have put boxes of paper through this shredder over the past couple of months with no issues. It stop and tells you when the bin is full. The bin is easy to empty. It’s difficult to get a plastic bag to stay but you can with a little effort. It stops when it gets too hot and you just give it a few minutes and it’s ready to go again. Be sure to have some lubricated sheets to keep everything lubricated. It’s on wheels so it’s easy to move around. It shreds credit cards and CDs. It struggles with 17 sheets, so I try to keep it to about ten to twelve sheets each round. It can take more but it slows down significantly. I put unopened junk mail through it with no issues. The cuttings are fine.

This is by far the best shredder I have ever used! Never overheated and not one paper jam . I had to shred about 10 years of tax stuff that had just been sitting in my closet . I was going to take it to a facility and have it shredded and the quotes I was getting were over 100. It made sense just to buy a good shredder . It really didn’t take me long to fill four huge garbage bags and you definitely can’t piece any of the shreds back together and see any of our info ! Just so pleased with this purchase! Very nice shredder in appearance. I have only used once, but put through about 50-60 sheets in just minutes. I know I could have put more through at a time but I have always preferred not to overload a shredder as they will last must longer. What surprised me the most was it is so quiet!!! Love that. My only suggestions to make it better would be better on/off switch. It’s wobbly and a very thin plastic. Not expecting that to hold up well. I suspect the unit would still work without it. Another suggestion would be to make all the writing and symbols larger and more contrasted to be easier to see. Didn’t think taking off a star for this was warranted. I hope to have this shredder for many years to come. This was my second purchase, the other in 2021 as gift. I haven’t heard any complaints as to there being issues with it.

I bought this shredder for use in a small office. We're required to keep records for seven years, so once a year there's a large pile of eight-year-old records to be shredded. Previous low-cost shredders over-heated after ten minutes and needed long cool-down periods. I decided it was time to pay more to get a shredder that would work longer. The Aurora AU1210MA was rated for 60 minutes' continuous use, and the price was acceptable. When the machine arrived, I wanted to see if the 60 minutes was for real, so I sat down with the shredder and a pile of records. 3 hours and 18 minutes later, the shredder was still going, but I'd had enough, so I congratulated the shredder on its victory and went home for supper. :-) The machine isn't too loud and runs smoothly. It ate file folders, staples and a paper clip without any trouble. I *did* find that I needed to empty the bin every15-20 minutes, and bits of electrocharged paper tended to escape as I transferred the contents of the bin to a large garbage bag. This is a minor issue, however. I'm really pleased with this shredder!

Unfortunately i am so used to products advertised on the international amazon sites having 110-240 auto switching power supply. I didn’t expect that Amazon would advertise, take payment and ship a product that is INCOMPATIBLE in the country whose amazon site i was shopping (UAE). And upon arrival i read the manual which says nothing about voltage limits. But upon receipt after reading the manual thoroughly I plugged the shredder in and POP BOOM sizzle - thats the end of my shredder. $200 plus wasted in 2 seconds. Not happy!!!!

El precio es algo elevado respecto de otras marcas, pero lo justifica su desempeño, para mí ha sido la mejor opción, ya tuve en casa otra de otra marca y más pequeña y la verdad era un fastidio cada 10 minutos tener que frenar la destrucción de papeles para esperar que se enfriara. Con este equipo logro terminar más rápido sin tener que esperar. Satisfecho con mi comprar.

This is by far the best shredder we have ever purchased. The lower level type (cheaper ones) would stop working after a lot of shredding. The small ones do have their limitations. This machine has a good basket size, shreds paper into very small pieces, have an automatic feeder which is great, and takes quite a few sheet of paper at a time. We usually did about 6 sheets at a time as the paper we use is quite thick (states it can do 12). Its not very noisy... its a shredder so of course there is some level of noise. Have used it multiple times now and ran it close to an hour each time we used it and no jamming, overheating or stopping. Very good product and would highly recommend. (we are also applying the oil (vegetable oil) to the shredder blades as recommended in the instructions, to ensure we properly maintain it).
