ChatGPT told me to get this for my community tank and I was confused because there are not a lot of reviews and I hadn’t heard about this product in forums or on YouTube. Plus there was work to do, blending it with boiling water, um no thanks. But I was desperate because my neo shrimp wouldn’t even touch those expensive lollies only the snails ate those. Well I bought it anyway and let’s just say I half heartedly mixed it with boiling water and poured it into an ice cube tray, let it set on the counter then scooped the gel out into some tanks. The neos came out of hiding and the guppies and snails devoured it, it was a hit. I’m sold and will definitely use it in my other tanks but get the version that has more protein for the omnivores, I just wanted a way to know that my neos weren’t only surviving off the biofilm because snails leave no detritus behind

Great additional food for shrimp, Otocinclus, snails-fish too. Easy to make Ready in 1 hour
Shrimp love it. Otocynclus love it, the snails love it.It was easy to make--watched a few videos. It congeals in about an hour at room temperature or you can just put it in the fridge. You can use just about anything that's a low vessel as a container to store and make (take out food bin, tupperware, small silicone or large ice molds) They are able to be gripped or rather properly prepared I can grip it lightly with my long aquarium tweezers to set in the tank where ever I want.

Excellent food for otocinclus
This stuff is great, my otocinclus catfish love it! I have a heavily planted 29g with six otocincluses, they do a great job keeping algae at bay but I bought this to supplement their diet. I put a small portion on the wood or in a random corner of the tank and it’s always gone within a day. Just note that these fish normally don’t just stay in one place, they’ll come back and randomly eat at the Repashy in between doing their usual rounds of zooming around the tank and eating algae from the leaves! So try to put in a place where other fish won’t get to it.

Turns fussy fish into believers
After trying several different products, this was the only fish food that my otocinculus have ever reacted strongly too. Once they had their first nibble they were hooked. Now they rush right over any time I drop more Soylent Green in the tank. My cherry barbs will bite nuggets off and chomp on them as well.

Easy to make. Good for when vacuuming or water change. Place on oppo side of tank of where you want to work and everything heads in that direction.
