Forget all Android or iPhones: this is currently the best Smartphone available on the market.
The following reasons made me personally choose the Blackberry Passport Silver Edition over any Android or iPhone in 2016:(1) Security: Apple and Android are really late in the game and several years behind BlackBerry! Remember in 2014 (!) when Sony was hacked that the Sony executives grabbed old BlackBerry phones to Sony’s rescue! Consider, why didn’t they grab iPhones?(2) Exceptional construction and use of Gorilla Glass 3 protective covering (no bending of phones ever like the iPhone 6! The BlackBerry Passport was found to be exceptional robust in drop tests)!(3) Telephone call capabilities and associated antenna enhancements, including stereo audio output and 4 mics for excellent audio pickup and noise cancellation, especially for conference calls on speakerphone, unreached by other Smartphone companies.(4) E-mail processing, organization, and handling of attachments in the Hub has not been beaten yet.(5) Unbelievable fast native BB browser with more than 50 windows open at your disposal!(6) The keyboard design with integrated on-screen extra rows of keys that are actually convenient to use, and the ability to use the entire surface of the keyboard to scroll through documents and web pages, rather than running your finger across the display. A learning curve of about 1 week is required, but then you are extremely fast typing!(7) Customization of keyboard shortcuts for fast access and exceptional performances!(8) Screen real-estate, high resolution, and 1:1 layout which is actually not bad at all (don’t believe the haters)!(9) Easy access over PC and ability to access phone and use it as a hard drive!(10) BB 10 OS functionality, organization, and ability to run both Blackberry World and Android apps that work!(11) All the major apps are available, including native BB apps such as BB-Hub, MS-Office, Instagram and Facebook as well as all major Android Apps like GoogleMaps, Viber, WhatsUp – up to 2017 or longer, Flipboard, Netflix, major games etc Therefore, I suggest again not to listen to the BB haters, they will always tell you otherwise!...(12) Possibility of setting up different user profiles and alert modes (ring, vibrate, LED, and silent) for calls, emails and messages. This is state of the art phone and software design!(13) Desktop ready by using BB-Blend for easy access to all my e-mail accounts via BB-Hub, calendar, BBM, contacts, file-transfer etc.(14) A really long battery life, up to 1 ½ days with extreme usage (calls, e-mails, browsing web, streaming Netflix etc).(15) I am everyday again impressed with the multi-color LED capabilities for message and call alerting without need to open the Passport or need to go into the Hub!(16) True multitasking: in how many Smartphones can you continue to watch YouTube videos and simultaneously browse the internet, write something or check your e-mails?(17) In summing up all of the above, it seems that I don't need my laptop or my tablet any more!(18) Finally, the BB Passport Silver Edition is a very beautiful phone and a looker! And much, much more..

Silver Edition is a Worthy Upgrade
I previously have owned the red, black and white Blackberry Passports. Having experienced each of these previous renditions, I consider this BlackBerry silver edition to be the most aesthetically pleasing Passport.Furthermore the new silver edition is easier to type with. It has keys that are easier to depress compared to previous versions. The extended chin on the silver edition version, makes holding the phone much easier for typing. In my opinion Blackberry passport silver edition is what Blackberry passport should have been in its original rendition.I think that this silver edition blackberry passport is worthy upgrade for those with the original passport.

Silver Edition
I am very pleased with the BlackBerry Passport Silver edition. Having had the Passport the differences between the two are not that much different but the keyboard is certainly lighter to use as indicated in reviews. It's also a sturdy made phone with the extra metal around the edging and looks so much better. The only problem is the lack of follow up by the better case makers for a more variety to choose from. I had the Priv for a week but preferred the size of the passport and easy use.
