It was easy to play for my kid

I noticed after buying that the recommended age is 14-70, but the little boy in the picture on the product is about my son’s age, 6, who I bought this for. For the sturdiness of this, the price is way too high. My son was “mining” around the house the first day we got it and he was so happy. He kept saying this was his favorite toy. Then within an hour, the foam was breaking off. The handle is foam with plastic underneath. And part of the foam was about to break off. My son was so disappointed. I had to crazy glue it together and he couldn’t play with it until the next day. He still likes it, but it defeats the purpose of a fun toy if you have to be so careful with it. The price should at least be cut in half for this thing. It’s just very light foam with a plastic frame inside. It weighs almost nothing. When I took it out of the box, before he even played with it, I thought “I can’t believe I paid almost $40 for this.” But my son was so happy I tried to look past that. Because it broke so fast and he has to be careful with it, I really do think it’s not worth what we paid. It’s unfortunate because my son really loved this so much and it looks nice. It just isn’t really for playing with.

My son loves Minecraft, so no doubt he would love a diamond pickaxe. I thought it was going to be a plastic material but it ended up being made of some thick foam. For it being some sort of foam material it’s fairly durable. I wouldn’t go banging it on the concrete by any means but it’s a pretty decent item.
