This wire is perfect for my non-electric intended use.
I will have to assume that this wire will work just fine for an electric fence. I have horses, but that is not why I got this wire, and I will not be electrifying it. I will be using this along the top of a dog fence as a visual deterrent for my one dog that likes to climb over the fence and out of the yard.I did inspect this wire to see how much conducting material is in this “Polywire”. I see very few strands of conductive material, but this looks no different than all the other types I see online and in the feed stores. So, my assumption is that if you are using this as an electric fence wire, it should work just fine.My usage is different. So, I tested this wire by winding it around a dowel and then attempting to straighten it out again. This is crucial for how I intend to use this wire. This wire passed my little mini test just find. No kinks or permanent bends. So, I will be using this wire without electricity, as a visual top to a fence. I will be stringing it tightly, and on an inward angle, so that my dog should not attempt a climb. If this doesn’t work, this is good wire, and there is plenty of it, I may just set up a temp pasture for my horses.

Great quality polywire and plenty of it!
I'm going to be setting up a movable electric fence for my goats this winter when I want them to forage in particular wooded areas on my property, and this type of polywire setup with portable posts will work better for my needs so I can set up the fencing in some of my more densely wooded areas. The mesh type of electric fencing doesn't work well where you have any dense ground cover since grass or other plants touching the mesh will reduce its electrical conductivity and electric fencing effectiveness... so the polywire method can instead be rigged high enough off the ground where it won't get shorted out like the mesh will. This is a VERY large roll, and very heavy duty. Nice and heavy weight, good construction wire. It should work well for electrical conductivity, resilience and longevity. 1312 feet of wire will go a long way! At $27 currently, this is a great value as well.

Keeps the neighbor's horses in the neighbor's pasture
When you have a neighbor with horses that constantly push down the fencing to graze our pastures but you don't want to use barbed wire, this electric fencing is what you need. This isn't a large spool, but it's enough to get you started, and it's a good size to test out to see if electric fencing will be right for your needs.Reasonable price point. This is the fencing strands only -- you'll still need the insulators and power supply.

Works like a charm
I love this rope-style electric line. It makes pulling high tensile fences easier because of its breaking strength. The only negative I have is that the rope doesn't hold a knot very well. The best method I have found is to tie a loop ahead of your fixed point, pull the tag end around your fixed point, through the tied loop, and use that to get your line tight. Then tie the tag end around the lines you just created but suck it up against the tied loop. Repeat tying until you've used up your tag end.

Electric Fence Polywire
This electric fence wire is easy to put up, it is as visible as you can get with this type of wire. After I finished installing, I tested it with my volt meter and it carried the voltage well. Very pleased with it.

Electric rope fencing.
We got this rope/braid to fence in a portion of fence that is struggling to stand. It is an excellent quality, and the bright yellow is visible to the animals. Whether you have horses, cattle, goats, sheep or dogs, they will learn not to test this fence. Super easy to hook up to our solar powered box. Works well especially for the price.

Carries a good current
This poly wire carries a good electric current and so it works great for keeping livestock in or out of the pasture. My energizer is rated at 9.9 kilovolts, but I used this wire quite a distance from the energizer. I was worried that I would lose too much voltage and the polywire might not carry enough current to deter my herd from wandering through the fence. Fortunately I discovered that I am getting at or close to 9,000 volts through this wire at the furthest point from my energizer, way more than enough to deter cows seeking greener pastures. As much as I hate getting zapped I tested this fence not only with my tester, but also by touching the wire. It definitely hurts. This polybraid was easy to install and easy to work with. Even when I had to drag it through the weeds in the field it stayed relative snag free and sticker free. I like working with this polybraid way better than high tensile electric fence wire and it is so much easier and faster to install. I may never go back to the high tensile wire.

Looks like good braid
Will work great for replacing the wired electric fence I have, or for building a new one. I like the braided polywire for ease of use and for the ability to easily coil it back up and move to a new location.
