Not too tight though, just right to be snug and allow for function. Was able to slide these on and still use my cell phone just fine, typing out texts, etc. Usage of firearms not impacted either. Neither was deployment of various folding pocket knives. Also warm enough for cold(er) weather climates. I'm not wearing these to chop firewood in Upper Peninsula in December, but for most people, in most environments, for most uses, these are mighty fine gloves and, incidentally, miles better than others like Mechanixwear or Magpul. For those for whom such things are important (as it was in my LEO days), these are NOT impact/stick proof or resistant in any way. So caution for anyone intending to use these for such duty. Cannot attest to longevity, but from what I can tell so far, as long as you're not doing anything too heavy duty work wise (in which case you'll be better off with a work glove with safety cuff anyway), they'll hold up just fine.
