Aliens known as the Amanto have invaded Earth and taken over feudal Japan. The government has been overpowered and humans are no longer in charge. In this strange new era, a man named Gintoki Sakata with the heart of a samurai, and the odd but endearing company he keeps, have found a way to stay self-employed. They take on all sorts of odd jobs, everything from finding lost kittens to saving the world. Not the begining, but doesn't matter, still funny as hell
Thank you funimation for finally bringing this series to the west, for those that aren't aware this set starts at episode 266, but don't let that stop you, you don't need to watch the previous episodes to enjoy this. Let's hope Funimation can secure the rest of this absolutely hilarious series.

This is the funny half of the season. Part 2 is the serious half
Very funny and canโt wait to purchase the other, more serious half. I really hope that, despite the Funimation-Crunchyroll split, the past and future seasons/series will continue to be physically published in the west
