Staple product in my makeup routine
This powder is a staple in my routine! It goes on smooth, feels lightweight, and keeps my skin shine-free all day without looking cakey. I have sensitive skin, and this formula works beautifully—no irritation at all. I love that it’s oil-free and gives a natural matte finish. Perfect for touch-ups and leaves my skin looking clean and fresh. Great value for the price—I’ll definitely keep buying this!

Covergirl Matte Pressed Powder Goes on Translucent
Covergirl matte pressed face powder is awesome to use. It goes on almost completely clear yet covers what you need it to cover. I have used covergirl products since I was 15 years old and I'm 66 now. Covergirl ROCKS!!!

Product good. Product design baaaad.
I've been using Covergirl Clean Matte Pressed Powder for years, mostly because my very favorite mattifying (Am I actually using the word "mattifying"? I guess I am. Lordy.) pressed powder, CornSilk, is really hard to find (Do they even make it anymore??), and this is a close second. I like powders that feel almost nonexistent -- that have NO discernable color, NO sense of being a "layer" over my face, that just take the shine away for a good long time. This does that, for a decent price. Here is my first-world complaint, however: I hate the case it comes in!!! AUGH, that teal blue thick floppy plastic clamshell vexes me to no end! For one thing, it's BIG. It's a freaking hockey puck, and it takes up a lot of space in my makeup bag, compared to thinner, more streamlined compacts. And why does it need to be so big? It's not like there's a secret compartment behind the mirror, filled with diamonds, or gold doubloons, or quality Vancouver weed.OR IS THERE?????(*goes to check*)No, there is not. All that plastic is just wasted space. Also, the latch on the compact is soooooo flimsy that it never feels really closed. And then, finally, the two halves of the sorry-no-hidden-weed-here clamshells are held together by a teeny-weeny silver pin that goes through a drilled hole in each half - your basic peg-and-hole joint. The problem is that the teeny silver pin is MOBILE -- the connection is not tight, and there's no fixed bead or ball bearing on the pin's exit points, and the pin wiggles and shifts and frequently slides OUT, allowing the shell halves to separate partially or totally. Now, if you haven't picked up on this, I'm kind of a detail-oriented person, and I now know to keep an eye on that itty silver pin and, when I see it working its way out of the shell joint, I use a tweezers to shove it back in place. But Cover Girl compact purchasers with more important things on their minds, like global warming, or their children, might not catch those moments, and they'll end up with a separated clamshell, and very likely the weensy pin will have gotten lost altogether....which, were this Exciting Movie Life and not Boring Real Life, would create the perfect opportunity for Hannibal Lecter to find it, and keep it tucked away inside his cheek, waiting patiently for the moment when all the maximum-security guards at the prison have turned away, to use the pin to pick the lock on his cell and escape once again, devouring the human faces in his path like the Cannibal he is!!!! AUUUUGH!If those faces used Cover Girl Clean Matte Pressed Powder, though, they'll stay shine-free all the way through their gruesome end. :)

Ideal paired with covergirl concealer
I use this with covergirl liquid concealer under my eyes. I use the liquid concealer first, then pat this over, then end with a very light blush. It makes my under eye circles gone without the dreaded too-light reverse raccoon look. I don't have dry or oily skin, but my skin is quite sensitive and it doesn't give me any troubles.Photos are before and after. Obviously not perfect, but it helps a lot.
