Review: Pond Silting Problem Resolved - This product is well made and I cannot understand the negative reviews given by some customers. I bought it to resolve a problem with an airstone in my small garden pond which I installed to oxygenate my pond in hot weather. The uplift from the airstone raised fine silt from the bottom of the pond and deposited it on the plants which, apart from being unsightly, would damage them. The sponge intake filters avoid this problem and there is now a filtered and aerated outflow from above the surface. Cleaning is easy as the sponges simply slide off the water intake spindles. Review: Good double sponge filter - This filter has replace an internal canister filter in a tank with cherry chrimp and white clouds in, there's no chance of the tiny baby shrimp being sucked into it. Very easy to use, simply connect some air line, place into tank and turn on your air pump, the water flow can be directed in whatever direction you want and the sponges are easy to rinse out when doing water changes and there's really nothing that can go wrong with it. ## Features - You are purchasing a high quality air driven sponge filter suitable for all aquarium types. - This filter comes with suction cups to securely attach this filter to the side of the aquarium. - These filters are ideal for breeding / fry tanks, and are very popular among cichlid / discus keepers. - This filter is approx 16cm x 6cm x 23cm tall (with pipe) - An air pump is required to run this filter.
