I couldn't really decide between 4 and 5 stars but went with 5 because it's a great product that's brand new, no rust, scratched tires, etc.So in this line they added more metal and the older 70s logo is back. This toy in the 70s had two levers for the bucket as this new one has only one lever and like more recent models it is plastic and huge.There is a lot of metal in this one and the bucket IS metal. The arms are not. I'm not sure why they chose to use so much body metal and plastic on the main working part. It's not a problem as I'm an adult who just wanted this for nostalgia not wanting to get an actual 70s one that's rusted or bent with a lot of play wear. Of course these are indeed toys and I do think this toy would hold up to quite a bit of use. These things are huge and I know that's why MINE has to live outside...no muddy, dented, rusty huge toys inside. I'm not a purist when it comes to Tonka...but I don't want to pay much for old beat up things. The price I paid for this seems very reasonable compared to a vintage one to do what this will do...sit on a shelf....take down every now and then to marvel over.Very nostalgic even if they are NOT reproduction pieces. The one handle actually works really well so it's not a problem. There are two versions of the mighty loader so if you want the one with the MOST metal, it's this one.Excellent quality product to delight anyone. People say their kids are so rough on toys....I don't know what on earth they do to them but this is a sturdy toy. If the kid is really destructive stick with the dump truck because either current version is practically indestructible.

I believe this dump truck has carried everything in my house that will fit it. My grandson absolutely loves filling it up and hauling smaller items. It is a nice size and is extremely durable. It is nice and heavy and is easy to pull up the back to dump his items. I believe this toy is so durable that he will one day be giving it to his own children. Love Tonka!

This toy is very sturdy. I know I can count on Tonkas design to my little one haul his heaviest rock piles from point a to point b,c,d ect. It has been on a treterous journey now for 3 days, climbing the slide mountian, across the rain puddle river, and the great backyard sand dunes without ever needing repairs. This is our second tonka toy and we will not being doing anything other than these.

THIS is the Tonka truck I remember. The wheels and bumper are plastic and the rest is all metal. This will last for years. Others listed are a newer more plastic version.

I love the old school metal Tonka products. I was excited to give my grandson some high quality toys that could stand up to his high energy. The truck bed is metal, but the rest is plastic. It’s still a great truck, but four stars for not being all metal. The design is as expected and the truck is quite durable. The value for the money and size of truck are very fair. I also purchased the loader and excavator which were also great quality.

My son LOVES this truck!!! It’s been with us for two years and looks the same as day one. Super durable, just like his dad’s from when he was a kid. Love it, would buy again!
