After 4 years of my son suffering with bad eczema which aided the spread of the Molluscum virus in the areas worse effected (creases of the arms and legs mainly) the virus started to spread to my sons face. After so many trips back to see different GP’s and even a referral to a dermatologist we got absolutely no where, basically ‘it’s a viral and it will eventually go away on its own it could take years but it will eventually go!’ The Molluscum spread to severe on that back on one of his arms bunching up on top of one another, which was causing him to eat extremely self conscious and upset at the mention of them by others. As children at school started asking ‘what’s those spots on your arms and legs?’ It was far to much and he wouldn’t wear clothes which made them visible. Everyone knows kids can be the most cruel humans on this earth so I just couldn’t stand back and watch the bullying start.After searching the internet tirelessly for anything to help treat these horrible lumps which was spreading like wild fire I stumbled across MolluDab, I read over many many reviews not only on amazon but also all over the internet, which many stated it was well worth the high price tab attached to it and to try! With being at our wits end and no where else to turn, an 8 year old boy who was so self conscious and getting really down over these the twenty odd pound price tag seemed a small price to pay for the chance of it working as it was the last resort so I bit the bullet and purchased the MolluDab.The 4* rating was only given due to the delivery, after anxiously waiting on the delivery of MolluDab after reading the reviews it felt like forever away, it got to the day of delivery and my son was constantly asking ‘has that stuff come to get these off me yet mum?’ 2 days after the delivery date had passed I tried the local pharmacy to see if they had any in which I could purchase as i had promised my son the treatment should have been days prior, they get again told me ‘sorry we don’t do anything for Molluscum just go back to the doctors and tell them you want something done!’ 3 days after the MolluDab should have been delivered it finally arrived via the post, the package was in a poor state to say the least (the Royal Mail didn’t do a good job in this one!) but luckily the bottle wasn’t damaged.I started treatment straight away, I found the dabbed provided wasn’t brilliant but I had a small paint brush in which fit in the bottle which worked like a dream, after applying the MolluDab to the 100 plus spots across my sons body I left them to dry then covered with bandages and tubular grips to ensure he didn’t scratch and spread them even more, after using the MolluDab twice daily for a few days the lumps started to change colour, I ensured the lumps were kept clean and covered to prevent infection or spreading of the Molluscum or nasty comments at school!After 2 weeks of treatment the lumps started to shrink in size or burst and disappear (which when bursting spreads the infection so I’m glad we covered them with a cotton medical wrap and bandages to hold them in place in which was replaced daily, the cost wasn’t to much to do this as the bandages was like 20p each at Wilkins and the cotton wrap like 79p or something so it wasn’t expensive and was helping in the prevention of cross contamination of the infection.After just over a week the lumps had gone extremely sore and red (which indicates the solution was working) the lumps was washed morning and night and then bandages re applied, approx 2 weeks after starting with the MolluDab the Molluscum clumps have either gone completely or on the last stages which there are less than a quarter which are still to heal completely from what he started with, there’s a few larger ones in which need a few extra days treatment but the main unsightly ones have worked a treat, I never thought we would get to the end of this horrendous virus but MolluDab has been worth its weight in gold, my lad hasn’t been self conscious of wearing a tshirt or shorts incase anyone sees as the few lumps aren’t as bad by far as they use to be. He’s so much happier, we are both extremely grateful for this product. It’s not as common knowledge as it should be, if only we had known about this before it got to it’s worse!Thankyou so much to the distributors of this product, not only has this brought my son more confidence he’s now not stuck with the horrible unsightly lumps which was not intending to go anywhere by themselves.I’ll attatch some photos of the lumps mid treatment which has cleared at least to half the size and amount to what there was to start with along with the most recent photo which was around 2 weeks after first application. 5* product without a doubt just a shame the Royal Mail delivered late in such bad condition.Would highly recommend MolluDab to any parent struggling with this virus. (Although i wouldn’t have be as tempted to use on younger children as it caused a fair amount of pain due to the burning of the solution being applied but it is to be expected and as soon as my son started seeing the results he agreed it was completely worth the few minutes of pain caused.

I tried this as a last resort (mainly because of the price) and after trying almost every remedy out there! It takes a few weeks to work, after around 4-5 weeks we have started to see an improvement however have been using this alongside thuja oil so not sure which one has worked its magic. The solution makes the spots a lot worse before they get better. I was starting to give up on this as it seemed as though it was only burning the healthy skin around the molluscum rather than the spot itself. However we have now started to see an improvement at last! We found once the “white stuff” inside the spot gets out the spots start to disappear.Downside: The container is very small and the amount of liquid included is about 1/5 of the bottle size! The spatula applicator is a waste of time and does not pick up the solution easily at all so it takes some practice!

I was incredibly disappointed when the GP suggested to just leave it and it will eventually go away itself.My 2 year old started off with 4 bumps on his arm, soon increased to 14, then 6 on his side (where his arm had been rubbing), then 10 on his leg, 4 on his back and 1 on his wrist - all within a matter of a couple of months. His eczema flared up on his arm and he started getting self conscious of his arm and refused to wear short sleeved t-shirts.I was desperate, did a bit of research, seems like NHS don't recommend treatment as there is'nt enough research to show effectiveness...but who would bother doing expensive research on a harmless skin virus that is self limiting?? NHS choices did suggest, possibly using potassium hydoxide, so i looked up some research papers available - they used potassium hydroxide 10% solution and showed a benefit with only down side was hypo/hyper pigmentation and stinging. Thought it was worth a try as molludab is a 5% solution.Well - any new bumps that came up scabbed over in as little as 1-2 days of twice daily treatment. 10 days on - all have scabbed over apart from 2-3 bumps that have been there from the beginning, so I assume it will just take a bit longer to work on them. Since starting to use molludab we have only had 2-3 new bumps which are now scabbed over and no new ones in the last 4days or so.I am impressed and very relieved that this solution has worked!!! It is hard to use the spatula and see if there is any solution actually on it, twice daily is time consuming, it can sting some of the bumps (but not all), but blowing on them and offering sweets helps! The leaflet says not to use on an excema flare up, but unfortunately I had no choice - but no ill effects. Some of the old scabbed over bits are a bit red, so i've applied aloe vera.I was reluctant to buy something, esp if not recommended by the GP, but I am glad that I did!I highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing stuff.My daughter has been suffering with mollusum for over two years.Nothing the doctor gave her worked. And felt they fobbed us off and told us to wait it out.I eventually got her refered to the dermatologist and they recommended to purchase this.Honestly it was gone in two weeks.Shes now left with bad marks on both legs and feel it wouldn't have been such a state if they had just told us to purchase this in the first place.Well worth every penny
