It looks excellent
This is a very early review because as soon as I saw this puzzle I knew it would make a perfect Christmas present for an elderly friend. She loves jigsaw puzzles and likes them to "have a lot of small details".The box in which the puzzle arrives is quite large but has not been opened for obvious reasons. The illustration looks perfect for anyone who loves the small details and this puzzle's got an extra little trick because when completed there are 15 differences to be discovered between the puzzle itself and the picture on the box.I'll update this review as necessary in a few months but the puzzle does seem to represent good value for money. Recommended.

Quality puzzle - but would prefer a smaller box
I've only recently started doing jigsaws so don't have many to compare this one with, but House of Puzzles seems like a quality brand, and I like that all their products are sustainably made from premium quality FSC Certified board, with plant-based inks used on all product packaging. The brand makes a big feature of using bespoke artist illustrations - "with intricate details and vibrant colours making it a true work of art." I applaud the support of artists - and intricate details and vibrant colours make for a great jigsaw - but please, this isn't a great work of art! It's a rather old-fashioned scene, reminiscent of pictures in children's books from the 1950s! However, it's going to be great fun to do - it's definitely not one of those boring puzzles with vast expanses of sea and sky as even the sky is colourful and varied - and includes seagulls! Moreover, the quality of the puzzle pieces is good - the card is thick and the pieces all cleanly cut so slot into place easily.Another feature I found appealing is the game of spotting the 15 differences between the puzzle and the picture on the lid. This is prominently featured on the box (see photo) but there is no mention of it in the product description - there should be!The only negative feeling I have about this puzzle is the size of the box, which is going to take up a lot of room on my shelves. This seems like a backward step, given that the general trend these days is towards smaller, more compact boxes which are space saving and better for the environment.

Not Your Ordinary Puzzle – Fabulous Artwork With a Few Surprises
I really enjoy doing puzzles, they are very relaxing to me. I typically prefer challenging puzzles because it gives me a sense of accomplishment when I place the last piece. That is one of the things I liked most about this puzzle, the design and the shape of the pieces add to the challenging aspect of it.What I Like:🧩 Lovely artwork, makes me miss the harbours back home.🧩 More challenging than expected, not just because of the picture but because of the puzzle piece shapes. You get flat edged pieces that go into the main body of the puzzle, and not just on the outer edges, as well as very unique shapes.🧩 Once the puzzle is completed, it becomes a whole new game: spot the differences; there are 15 differences between the puzzle image and the image on the box.🧩 It comes with a “lost piece replacement” insert, so you can reach out to the maker to get a missing piece. I think that is awesome, because I have spent hours putting a puzzle together before, only to discover a piece was missing.Overall, I am very happy with the quality, design, and artwork of this puzzle. I think it would make a great gift for anyone who enjoys doing puzzles.

Great for puzzle fans
This is a really lovely jigsaw. I love the detail in the illustrated picture. It has a real nostalgic charm about it. It’s a really interesting puzzle too as it has a few surprise features, such as spotting the differences between the picture on the box and the one on the puzzle itself. It also has some unusual shaped pieces which makes the puzzle more fun.It is printed on very good quality materials so it feels sturdy and the thing I really like is that you can order any pieces that are lost.

Quality jigsaw with added interest
This jigsaw is great quality, I really like the UK seaside harbour design and it’s well printed in vibrant colours. The pieces are well cut and easy to slot together and, in the unlikely event that a piece is missing, House of Puzzles offer a free ‘Lost Piece Replacement’ service (details in the box) which is a thoughtful touch. This isn’t a standard jigsaw, and some of the pieces are unusual shapes that add to the interest and, once you’ve completed the jigsaw, there are 15 differences to find between the picture on the box and the actual jigsaw, so the fun isn’t over when the final piece is in place. At £15.99, I think this quality jigsaw is good value and it would make a great gift for a puzzle lover or a fun activity for the whole family.

A good puzzle that is ideal for beginners and old hands alike
The House of Puzzles - No. 26 - Catch of the Day Jigsaw - 1000 Piece Jigsaws For Adults,This jigsaw puzzle is good quality. The puzzle shapes are the normal shape with some unusual ones that may help when completing the puzzle. The design and colouring of the picture makes this easier than some puzzles. This puzzle is ideal if you want a puzzle that is relatively straight forward to comlete without having to spend 10 minutes to decide if piece X fits in place Y! There are not many 'plain' areas in the puzzle, which should make it a bit easier to find where the pieces go once you have a start. The sky area may be more challenging. One thing that I would have liked is an additional copy of the box picture to be included (same size as the box picture).. A picture on a sheet of paper is often easier to use than a bulky box top and is also handy if two or more people are doing the puzzle so there is less fighting over who gets the box lid to hunt for where their piece might fit in.
