The guard is very soft and flexible so no issues with keeping in you mouth long term in this aspect but I found it quite bulky to keep in my mouth. The air holes at the front mean you can beath easily with it in your mouth. All in all a good device but yet to prove it properly reduces my snoring

I got this to replace my original mouth guard, this is the mk2 version, softer rubber better fit, I fitted it and found it tight fitting so like the mk1 I softened it in hot water re fitted for a better fit. first night I woke in the morning to find my teeth hurting the second night after fitting it, my gums between the lips and gums were sore, the third night I fitted it I could not stick the uncomfortable pain in my gums.I have tried to trim the bottom but that just puts a sharp edge on it it has now been disposed of.......
