Great Set of chisels
Why did you pick this product vs others?:These worked perfectly on several small jobs around the house. They are sharp and can withstand a gentle hammer blow.

You get what you pay for...but you could also spend more but receive no better
These chisels are just what you expect: somewhat roughly ground, not especially sharp right out of the box, minimal packaging, etc. That said, I expected that from what, as I write this, is the cheapest set of woodworking chisels on Amazon. It's clear that most of the under-$50 sets are basically the same quality level and many might actually come out of the same factory or are at least using the same tooling and patterns.Yes, I doubt that they will stay sharp for as long as a better set. Yes, I fully expect that sharpening them and tuning them up before initial use, and periodically after, is going to be mandatory in order to get decent use of them. But there are tons of Youtube sharpening videos and it's a skill any serious woodworker should learn regardless. Many sharpening methods and the materials can be pretty inexpensive. They meet my modest expectations and budget. I only subtracted one star because I had to exchange the first set when I noticed that the side bevels of the widest chisel were ground way off-center...poor quality control even by modest standards. The exchange was quick and painless through Amazon, and the replacement set was fine.

very nice tools, good weight in the hand, came with an excellent edge, but widths are not accurate
Very nice set; comfortable handles, long blades, good weight; came with a professional edge (two bevels).I checked every edge fort the width of the front bevel (less inclined than the main bevel): each has perfectly parallel edges. Using them is a pleasure thanks to the dimensions, weight, and good edge. The reason for 4 stars? The actual widths of the blades are somewhat haphazard. (I used a calibration micrometer to check them.) First note that they are advertised a 1/4", 1/2", 3/4", 1" -- and their flimsy plastic holder is printed with these 4 values), but the blades are stamped 6mm, 12mm, 18mm, and 24mm. I was naturally curious which was correct, but it turned out the answer was *neither* and the deviation from either metric or British varies quite a bit. Here are the widths in my set (using British as the reference):1/4": 33/128" instead of 32/128" -- the deviation is very small, but on the high side, which is problematic (think of using them for 1/4" finger joints)1/2": 59/128" instead of 64/128" -- a rather large deviation, fortunately on the down side3/4": 90/128" instead of 96/128" -- another large deviation on the downside1": 122/128" instead of 128/128: -- another large deviation on the downsideI can work with the down deviations, esp. on the wider blades -- in fact, I prefer the blades to be slightly narrower than nominal --, but the slight up deviation is a real issue: I'll have to grind down one side edge just a tiny bit. Conclusion: the quality is amazing at the price (the whole set costs less than a single small chisel from any brand and 10% of the cost of a single chisel from a top brand like Veritas) and the rather odd issue of a slightly overwide narrow blade may be limited to just a few cases. I'll be keeping the set and using it regularly and am happy to recommend it strongly, with the caveat that you should check your blades' widths when you receive them.

Relatively nice chisels for the money.
I don't know how a professional would feel about them but for my purposes it worked for chiseling pine. Do consider looking into sharpening though as after a short while of use they were a little more difficult to use and I don't know how well a denser wood would behave.
