Sharpening Stones (3000#)

I got this stone today and used it polish the edge of my knives. I'm geniunely surprised by the mirror finish I got from it and with leather strop. I purchased 3000# glass stone. It is quite big actually and I soaked it for couple of minutes although description says no need to soak. It does dig in sometimes when sharpening, but I believe it could be due to my rusty sharpening technique as it had been a while since I sharpened knives. Doesn't load up either. Next I'll try splash and go without soaking. So far, overall am very happy with the stone. I might remove 1 star down the lane, beause I felt it is not that hard stone. It felt bit soft, this is just initial review. I'll update this after a month that way I know if it dishes out or good for long term. Regardless for 22$ its a no brainer polishing stone!Reducing a star because the stone cracked on its own, I didn't keep it under water! Still usable but feels bad

I was getting great results from this stone. Very good price. Only down side is that this is not quite splash and go. It's pretty thirsty, so more like 3-5 splashes, and then go. Or ignore the instructions and soak for a minute before use. ;-)

I thought "Premium Glass Sharpening Stone" might mean it is better than average but nothing special here. Alright for cheap steels but not for premium blade steels.
