Great emergency shelter for small animals
With all of the fires in California, we bought two of these for emergency cat shelters should we ever have to evacuate the area with our animals. They are compact, lightweight and spacious.

No regrets! My kitteh absolutely loves it—and loves being outside with us.It’s important to note that when we got our cat, he was an indoor/outdoor cat. We tried several times to break him of that, and now permanently keep him inside, but he is always looking to go outside. It would break my heart sitting outside and see him staring out at us. This was a good compromise.Although I will run inside the house while he is outside alone, it is only for a couple of minutes at a time for something quick, like grabbing something to drink. It may be fine to leave him outside unattended for longer periods of time, I just opt not to.In all honesty, I was not sure how he was going to react, and he was a little inquisitive the first couple of times, softly pawing at the door and screens, and even reaching for the top screen door (yes his paw did get caught a few times and pull part of the pen in on himself) but he finally got acclimated and loves it.Every cat is different, after his paw got caught a couple of times, I would take him out of it and put him inside and then we would try again another day. What seems to work the best for me is having some things that would make him more comfortable, such as his scratching bed (which I think was key, because instead of pawing at the screens or door, he goes in there and scratches), some blankets, and food and water. I introduced putting food and water into the playpen after he stopped pawing at the sides—made that mistake too early on.I do move his playpen around each day to give him different views and to make sure that he is kept out of direct sunlight. For the cost, it is totally worth it. I opted to get the XL—having some of his items in here, he still has plenty of room to spread out. Another thing that I found, is that he likes to have his pen up against some thing, even if it’s just a railing or if you put a chair or something near it. I think it makes him feel more protected as opposed to having almost all of the sides open with nothing directly around it. That may just be my cat, but wanted to share that. Finally, I do give this product five stars but do want to comment on a few things. 1. As far as sturdiness goes, it’s sturdy enough for a mature cat. If you have a cat or dog who is more active or rambunctious, this may not be the product for you. 2. Set up is a breeze, you basically just pull it apart like an accordion and it pops into place. Similarly, breaking it down is very easy; you just fold it back in on itself but if you want to try to twist it into the circle shape that it comes in, it’s a little bit more difficult, so I just leave it collapsed down in the larger oval shape. 3. Very easy to clean, when he spilled water and food, it wiped out easily.

Easy to use, but not very windproof.
I used this as a pop-up tent for a pet while traveling. The pet ( a cat) did not like it! It was sturdy and easy to assemble, folds down nice and small for travel. However, it is thin, like wind-breaker material, and therefore subject to the wind. It has some loose strings attached, but I think they are just to hold the windows open, nothing more. They don't have loops for stakes and there are no stakes included. If you want to use this, I recommend having some stakes to stake it down and you will have to figure out yourself how to attach the stakes to the pop up tent. But for the price, it was worth bringing it along. I tried putting some rocks inside to hold it down, but it was very windy, and it tended to flatten at the top in the wind.

Loved This Pet Playpen
This pet playpen was perfect for my needs. I have a small cat and I bought this so when I travel to visit family or friends, I can use this to make sure she's safe. I also use it outdoors when I'm working on a project and she wants to be with me, but I'm focused on the project and don't want her to get into trouble (she's a housecat). I also used it when I babysat an un-litter-trained kitten. It was super easy for me to assemble and take down. Don't give up - it's really easy once you figure it out. And it folds up to a great small, easy to carry, size. Take note: I bought this, it was not given to me to get a five star rating. I hate that. This is a REAL, honest opinion. If you have an energetic puppy or a heavy large dog, you may find this isn't for you. I have a nine-year-old collie mix who's super well behaved so she was fine in the XL one (oh, did I mention I purchased two)? I can totally empathize with those comments about puppies chewing through the mesh, or dogs turning it on its side and rolling down the hill in it (I laughed so hard at that one)! But for the money, which I thought was totally reasonable, this playpen is terrific for the appropriate pet. Of course, I don't think any pet should be left in a playpen or cage for long periods of time. For short periods, and for the pet that isn't wild-haired-Harry, I totally love this product.

It’s only use now it’s for hide n seek that my cats play at night.
The media could not be loaded. We bought this because I have an anxious dog and we were going out of town to an outdoor birthday party for the day. I figured something that kept my dog safe and provided him a safe feeling would be best. Except this product never made it to the party. We were practicing ahead of time for comfort. You don’t Spring something new on an anxious dog… so I took my pup out in the front yard in this while I did some gardening. It went well for 20 minutes. The 2nd time my spouse took the pups out while I stayed inside. My anxious dog got scared and tore a hole in the screen portion within the first 5 minutes. This is not a product to use as peace of mind while outside. After the event has come and gone I put my non-anxious dog in it while i did some gardening. The cat was howling at the door, so I added him to the tent too. A delivery truck came down our road and freaked the cat out. He bounced around inside this thing until he had pulled up all 3 stakes and then ran this thing like a treadmill, dog still inside and all, right up to the front door.Funny enough, no additional tears that time.So this thing doesn’t go outside any more.It is easy to open and close. Now it sits near the other animal toys and serves as a play tent. I throw catnip in there at night and the cats seem to have a good time. I have one cat that likes to use it as his hide n seek spot.I wouldn’t buy this again if given the option. The cats would be just as happy with a large box as this tent…Instead we used a human pack n play with a sheet bungeed over the top for the dogs on our event day.

Great Price for the Size
Bigger than expected. Cat went inside right away, she loves it. Haven’t tested it much but will update with any issues, if necessary.

Perfect for the campsite!
Super easy to use. Only wish the top and sides had roll down covers to keep out the sun when using outside.

Too flimsy
This playpen is far too flimsy for most pets. My 10 pound dog could tip it over from inside. Not suitable.

Not the greatest quality
It was expensive for the quality of the product. It’s impossible to fold back up but was easy to assemble.
