Melissa & Doug Salad Spinner Play Set, Pretend Play Food for Boys and Girls Ages 3+

Simply adorable! ...and toy functional! I wish all play foods were this iconic in design and quality. The salad spinner is clever and actually spins when pressed--no batteries, just physics. Love!

Every Melissa and Doug toy that I have bought has been high quality. Cute design on the lettuce. My grandson loves spinning the salad and using the tongs. Great toy for dexterity. Durable and realistic.

Purchased for my son who loves to cook. The lid on the spinner is sized for toddler hands which allows him to take the lid on and off quickly and easy to use. However the only complaint is the design requires you to put the lid on the bowl a certain way so it can “latch” and spin. Sometimes my toddler has it and other times he needs my help. The big button on the top of the spinner is convenient. He can push the button easily down to make it spin. The spinner itself is quite durable. It’s been banged up the last 5 months and dropped put still works just like when I first took it out of the box. There is a thick plastic “laminate” which includes the pictures (recipe) of each item to follow along and make a salad. The bottle of olive oil is adorable that’s with this salad set. My son enjoys “adding”olive oil to his “food.” Likewise for the 3 tomato slices (wooden and well painted). Do have to watch him play with the tomatoes, cucumbers, and croutons. Warning! The pieces are on the smaller side and could potentially be a chocking hazard. I wish I thought of the felt bell pepper; it’s genius! Used the bell pepper as the format to make more for the set. I do wish the salt and pepper grinder had each item separate. My son is able to twist it around easily while it makes a “popping” sound to mimic grinding spices. Overall this salad set spinner is great for dramatic play and honestly my son’s top 3 toys.

Nice quality. This toy manufacturer has a good reputation for quality goods and so far, everything I have purchased of theirs has held up well. Moving parts seem to stay operational. Would recommend.
