My cats love it!!
Typically, while shopping on Amazon, I stick with products that are 4+ stars. This one was under 4 stars, but I have purchased other petsafe products I like, so I thought I'd try it.I needed this product to solve a problem! I have two cats, a 5-year-old and an almost 18-year-old cat who likes to climb in the shower and drink fresh water. At night, she moves her old stainless steel water bowl around with her paws, causing a racket. This has solved her obsession with pushing the water bowl! Sometimes, she still climbs in the shower, but it is way less than before. I call this a win!.. I was worried about a few things before purchasing:Will I have to keep ordering replacement filters to get it to run? No! The unit runs with no filter installed. After running it for a week, I have not seen any gunk build up on the top where the water flows and the cats drink. Any loose cat hair seems to fall to the bottom of the bowl underneath, which I could easily wash out when cleaning/refilling.I'm a light sleeper. Will the sound keep me awake at night? No! The fountain is in my living room, and the master bedroom is two doors down a short hallway. I leave my door open at night, and this fountain still does not bother me. That being said. I used the sound meter app to measure the DB, and with the light on, it gives off about 55-60DB. Something I wasn't expecting was that when you turn off the light, it drops to about 53DB. There must be a sensor that slows it down/quiets it at night. All that being said, I would not want it in my bedroom, but I wouldn't even want a water bowl in my bedroom. Is it hard to clean? No! After week one, I opened it and washed it with hot water; it looked as good as new. I am tempted to throw it in the dishwasher, but I'm unsure if it's dishwasher-safe. With anything in life, if you leave it dirty too long, the gunk will be hard to remove. I will probably continue to clean this weekly so I don't have that issue. Will it attract bugs? No! I keep a clean house and have never seen a bug on the unit. I know I read one review about it attracting termites! That's crazy. If you're getting termites on this thing, please get your home treated! If you're seeing termites on this, I'm sure they are causing havoc behind your walls!I know it's a long review! Sorry! But I like it way better than I expected!

Almost perfect
The media could not be loaded. It’s so easy to assemble and the clean that is a really nice feature. It took my dog a little while to get used to because he had never had anything but a regular bowl of water but he loved it. Had to start with it unplugged then plugged it but he likes it now. The only con is that the noise is kind of annoying. Other than that I love this product. The bowl is nice and works well. I would overall recommend

Love this
My cat loves this. Took her a day or two to warm up to it, being it's a new item in the house. I saw reviews saying it's super loud. It makes some noise but I can hear it unless I'm right next to it. Cord could be a little longer but works where we have it set up at. Love that it has the blue light on it. Definitely will recommend

Not worth it to me
For the price, I could not recommend this to anyone. It works well, and is very pretty with the light but overall I would consider it noisy and it needs to be cleaned very often. The plastic tends to hold on to dust and dirt so I found myself cleaning it very frequently. For those reasons, I wouldn't choose this over other options. Additionally you need to purchase filters with this fountain.

Amazing
The media could not be loaded. I have five cats and three dogs, and they all drink a lot of water. This fountain pet bowl is amazing. There’s a filter that is replaceable that keeps the water fresh and clean, it was very easy to set up, it’s very easy to clean. You just have to lift out a couple parts and then wash. It has a nice LED light that indicates when the water is low. The size is impressive, it can hold a lot of water! It has a nice soft trickling sound that encourages curiosity to my pets. I absolutely love this! !!

Works well
We had a slight issue setting it up, but once it go flowing it's been going since. This works great for my dogs. It helps keep the water cleaner, and adds just a slight fountain noise to our room. That being said it actually is pretty quiet overall, more than I was expecting looking at other reviews. Im happy with it, and my dogs are too.

Not Really Pumpless ... UPDATE! THINGS TO CONSIDER IF YOU WANT TO BUY
It has this cone thing which I guess they say is not a pump, but this cone thing is what pumps the water up. Super difficult if not impossible to clean. Its really tight. I can't get a sponge inside to cleann it. And I was really hoping not to use brushes again to clean the pump. Its almost like they need to provide a toothbrush to clean it.Also, really noisy. I used a Catit and it broke. But it was pretty quiet. The pump in this fountain is noisy especially at night. I bought it for the bathroom right next to our room because Miss Bee liked to drink at night. But this is too noisy. If you buy it, make sure its in a room no one goes into.3 WEEK UPDATE: I’ve used this almost a month. Some things to consider:1. Red Light of Death. Its full of water but this stupid red light comes on for no reason and it stops flowing.2. Water Flow Is Too Little. When it did work, the water is just a trickle. I couldn't figure out why this happens.3. Its not pumpless. It has a pump, its this stupid cone thing. You are trading one problem for a bigger problem.4. Impossible to clean. This cone has nooks and crannies that are worse then my Catit pump. I’m going back to my Catit, glad I didn’t throw it out.5. Food and hair float. My Catit would pull away food particles, dust, dirt and hair so I wouldn’t see it. These thing keeps it all so you can see it.6. NOISE! I had to move this out to the another room we don’t use much because it would drive me nuts, especially at night. Worse than an annoying faucet which drips.7. Blue Light Attracts Bugs. The bright blue light at night attracts bugs. The termites were just swarming and I saw a whole bunch of termite wings at the back of this fountain by the light.8. Plastic drinking. My older cat get’s cat chin acne. It came back after using this for 3 weeks.9. Too light. My younger cat is a bit overly playful. He likes batting this thing around because its too light. He enjoys splashing water and making a mess.10. Filter is a joke. This filter is super small. It reminds me of a postal stamp.
