Go Travel Mosqui-Go Electric Mosquito Insect Killer (Ref 319)

This product clearly does not prevent mosquitos and/or small flies etc. We used this for our weeks holiday, every evening without fail. Both my partner and I were bitten overnight. We followed the simple instructions and actually watched the mosquitos and flies actually flying around the device while it had been plugged in for a while. I was so badly bitten that an A&E Nurse suggested that I needed proper treatment.... and agreed that the device was ineffective. Croatia is not that bad for insects!!!!

the product gets extremely hot to the point of being dangerous. i tried it in 2 different UK sockets with the same results. the refill tabs also appear to have burn marks on them from overnight. i suggest this is heating them up too quickly and dries them out making the effective time short. i still had gnats in the room. most of all, this is a NON-RETURNABLE item in accordance with Amazon's policy despite it being possibly faulty!!!!

Either I got a faulty unit, or it plain doesn't work properly. I've used plug-ins with tablets that I've bought in Italy, and they work well, so i hoped this would be a good equivalent available in the UK. It wasn't. Most nights the unit doesn't warm at all, and the tablet is still blue in the morning (they turn white over the night with the heat). One night it got roasting hot and the tablet came out scorched. It's also difficult to use - you really have to force the tablet into the slot, and then use a skewer to push it out again the next morning.

I have to agree with some of the other reviews. This item isn't very good and not a patch on those I can buy/have bought from places like Superdrug and Boots. I've used dozens of these over the years (being from Italy) and they're pretty standard. But this unit a) gets really hot and b) it's virtually impossible to get the mosquito tab in. Better elsewhere.

At last!!This can be used as a vapour plug-in with the calpol or vicks tablets to help breathing when someone has a cold.Use a Europe to UK adapter and slide in the calpol eucalyptus tablet - NO NIGHT LIGHT!! HOORAY!

This is not cheap but seems to be well made and will be useful for holidays for years to come. I have used liquid mosquito killers before but was always concerned about the bottle breaking in the case. This product did what it said it did so I would recommend it.

Great item, did what it needed to. Stayed nicely in place in international sockets. Easy to insert and replace tablets. Didn’t get too hot when plugged in. A good addition to your holiday if used with other mosquito deterrents (spray, air conditioning and nets).

We took this to Mallorca for use in our Hotel room and all I can say is we didn't have a problem with the dreadful mossies. It may be that there weren't any around or it may have done the job. There was no smell with the product and I found it easy to use including inserting and removing the tablets.
