Carb Cutting Rice Cooker
The media could not be loaded. When giving up white rice is not an option for your family, you find ways to cut the carbs without giving up a favorite food. With this rice cooker get your perfectly cooked rice and oatmeal without the full carb load as with traditionally cooked rice. It has setting for white rice, brown rice, oatmeal, low crab rice, and other grains. It makes 8 cups cooked rice at once. Easy to use, fill rice with plastic measuring cup to top, each cup is 1 cup of uncooked rice. Then fill the black insert to the line that corresponds to the number of cups of rice. 2 cups rice fill to 2 cup line in the insert. Place the insert in the machine then the stainless steel insert on top and close the lid. Turn on then select your rice (white rice) on the touch screen and then hit start. Rice was cooked perfectly, not sticky and didn't burn the bottom. It has a stay warm setting when cooking is completed. I turned it off and unplugged it, I returned 3 hours later and the rice was still warm and ready to serve with dinner. I would buy this again and give it as gifts for friends and family. I have recommended it to family friends looking to cut carbs. Easy to use and does what it says.

Good, but could be great
So far, I like this rice cooker. Rice cooks up nice. I like the low-carb feature. Seeing the cloudy, starchy water makes me think I'm being a little healthier. Things that could be improved:1. Capacity could be increased. The bowl is so small compared to the actual size of the unit.2. Cream color makes no sense to me. There was a black color available, but should have a stainless steel or grey option available. Or even pure white. Cream? Why?3. The steam drips into the outer rim of the cooker, on the inside, requiring me to use a paper towel to clean it out every time. Not a big deal, but wish it had a different receptacle from which I could just dump the water into the sink. A little messy.

Burnt rice each time so far
I'm not sure if mine is defective, but so far this has burnt our rice on the keep warm function each time we've used it. I'm coming from using a zojirushi model which are supposed to be the best so maybe this is why I'm having a "bad experience" with this one. I wanted to buy a healthier rice cooker without the PFAS non stick coatings, and found this one. Its very large for the same amount of cooked rice, and it seems clunky like the lid doesn't close snuggly or click like its secured. And for a couple decades now, we have made rice in the evening for dinner and left it on the keep warm setting so we could eat it for breakfast as well. This model burns the rice to one hard brown chunk all three times we've done this so far, and its mushy in the middle. The pot is way lighter in weight than my previous brand, and seems a lot thinner, which is probably why. I called customer service and they said I was keeping it on the "Keep Warm" setting for too long and it shouldnt go overnight. I guess since I've been doing that with other brands for years this was surprising to me. This is going back.

No regrest
I really like this rice cooker. It’s small enough not bulky, I only use it for white rice so I can’t speak of all the other settings but so far it’s very efficient. The capacity is the only thing I don’t like because when I read it it says “8 cups of rice” but they mean cooked rice. So total of 4 cups uncooked rice. But overall I like it and I like how it looks.

Quirky but Reliable
I haven’t had much experience with rice cookers, but this one has been great! Much more consistent experience than my previous unit, I love the warming timer that gives you an idea of how long the rice has been warming when finished cooking. It has its quirks, but I really like that it doesn’t use PFAs. The measuring cup it comes with is meant to be used with the measuring lines on the pot, and the cup is actually about 2/3rds of an actual 8oz cup, so if you don’t want to use the included cup you have to calculate the water ratios yourself, which isn’t really rocket science, so no biggie. I’m extremely satisfied with this thing. I make way more rice and quinoa than I did before I purchased this.

Time and quality
Takes long time to cook and doesn’t extract starch for certain rice

This machine is money!!! Set it and forget it. No more burning rice or water boiling over. The rice tastes amazing. Even tried the quinoa and that was great. The low carb rice function is awesome. Love this thing!
