Excellent
This is a beautiful book that my 6yo son really enjoyed. New words and metaphors are something to discuss while reading and afterwards. The style is more challenging than usual and I appreciate that, because most books for young readers descend to cognitive level of toddlers and this book is a welcome exception.

Not good for bedtime!
This series of books is great to encourage children to read on their own. This is first book that my son wanted to read in bed on his own - and 20 minutes later he was in tears having been scared by some of the stories. Stories of eating chocolate cake, and noises of rain in the night are great - but I'm not so sure that stories of wolves watching you while you sleep, monsters under your bed, and dark shadows in the corner of your room waiting to get you aren't appropriate for this reading level and the likely age of the child. The rest of the series is great - but this one isn't!

Don’t bother not worth $5
I was not impressed with the silly, somewhat scary / foolish poetry, writing and pictures (‘sounds like a poltergeist army’?). I read this to a 9 year old and thought it just encouraged stupid thoughts when the lights were out at bed time. Definitely would pass on this book - some of it is great yet a few pages do not belong and made me want to throw the book in the garbage.

Scary Poems
First of all this is a book of short, unrelated poems, they DO NOT form a story.Which is dsomething I hadn't understood, but ok. The real problem is that more than half these verses (which, by the way, aren't humorous or funny) are actually about the child's immagination shadows turning into monsters, night clouds into wolves ecc. And without a "its only the jacketon chair " ending. This means that is your kid is half afraid of the dark or has e few problems falling asleep.. well its not the book for you!
