It's robust, doesn't wobble even with the firm suspension in a couple of my cars. The cable is long enough to slot in to a 12v power point that is mounted lower down in the car and the windscreen is steeply raked making the unit a long way from the instruments. A much better and substantial product than the cheaper alternatives being offered for sale on the internet! The part that fails over the years is where the micro USB cable connects into the holder. At this price I do think this connector should be more robust, the previous one lasted about 6 years, though it wasn't used every day.
