## Description

Specification Material: Aluminium External Interface: USB 3.0/USB C OS Support: Windows, Mac OS, and Linux Maximum transfer rate: 5Gbps (USB 3.0), 480Mbps (USB 2.0) Supported device: 2.5/3.5 inch SATA HDD Supported Capacity: Max 20TB Plug and Play: Supports UASP: Support four RAID modes you can choose standard The normal mode can be put on You can see and use each hard drive independently. JBOD: JBOD stands for "just a bunch of drives" and is known as "disk spanning". In JBOD mode, physical disks are combined into a single, larger virtual drive. RAID 0: It is also called "Disk Striping". If you have at least two drives, they are combined with RAID 0, which increases the read and write speed of your hard drive. Please note: If a drive fails, you will lose all your data. RAID 1: If you have at least two hard drives, your data is duplicated with RAID 1 and a copy is stored on each hard drive. This ensures that you do not lose your files if a drive fails. How to set RAID mode? Normal mode: switches 1 and 2 are both off (switches 1 and 2 are both bottom). JBOD Mode: Switch 1 is off, Switch 2 is on (Switch 1 is off, Switch 2 is ON) RAID 0 Mode: Switch 1 is on, Switch 2 is off (Switch 1 is up, Switch 2 is down) RAID 1 Mode: Switches 1 and 2 are both on (switches 1 and 2 are both on) Please note 1.RAID 0 is best for storing temporary files or files that you have backed up elsewhere. 2. RAID 1 is best suited for storing data you do not want to lose, such as important bank details or family photos and documents. Box contents: 1 x RAID hard drive enclosure 1 x USB 3.0 cable 1 x screws and screwdriver 1 x power supply 1 x user manual

Review: Does the job. - I use this to clone my drive C: every two days and it works a treat.
Review: Does What It Says - I'm pleasantly surprised with the build quality on this, knowing how much sellers on desertcart love to upcharge even the most cheaply built products. The aluminum housing feels sturdy, and the feet on it are super grippy and adequately prevent the bay from vibrating around when the drives are spinning. The indicator lights are an odd choice, as a red light just means the drive is spinning and not necessarily that something is wrong. The fan is not super loud. I immediately switched the unit to RAID 1 and tossed in two WD Red Plus 10TB drives; within 30 seconds of power on and USB connection the drives were showing as one volume within Disk Management. The data transfer speed is as-advertised, and I appreciate the USB-C to -A adapter they stuck on the end of the included cable. I will update this review in the future if I encounter problems, but so far so good. I hear you can get these even cheaper on Ebay from time to time. :)

### ⭐ Can't use hard drives
*by B***T on 23 November 2024*

Idea is great but execution leaves much to be desired. There is a dimple on the bottom of the tray that doesn't allow a drive to sit flat. Plus, the clip intended to replace screws doesn't match up to where the screw holes are on modern drives. It arrived and 20 minutes later, I had to ask for a return authorization.
