A great handy tiny pocket radio, the best I've come across for price, size, quality + practicality.
I've got quite a few radios, but I've had some great fun with this tiny little 'practical' set in the last 24 hours! I wanted something I could easily carry in my pocket, with am/fm capability as well as the ability to play podcast and MP3 files, and it must have a speaker as I don't really like ear buds or headphones much, it needed to be able to stand on a desk or a work bench at work, or listened to close to my ear while waiting e.g. at a cafe for breakfast, or at the waiting room for doctor or dentist, or sitting in my works van at lunch time, and it's already proved itself to be perfect for all those uses! For it's size and price, this unit gives amazing sound quality and volume. You can plug it into an amp and it sounds really nice too! I've bought a 16gb micro SD for mine with an SD adapter (see pic), downloaded some MP3 tracks off my Mac, and some comedy podcasts off the BBC. They work and sound great! FM radio is quite sensitive in a good way and playing very clear and crisp, and where I live it's scanned and stored 27 good preset stations into it's memory. A.M. Radio response is slightly disappointing in my area but radio certainly not that bad, and 17 presets were automatically found, Absolute Radio being crystal clear, but others stations are a bit weak - but not really tried it much outside yet so it may be better hopefully. For under £23, I can't fault this item, and I intend to make good use of it.

Fair is foul, and foul is fair
Ever wondered if there's any sense to this line from the witches in Shakespeare's Macbeth? Well, using this radio will explain it to you. How? Well, let's take the "fair" bit, it's a fantastic sounding radio, especially considering its very small size, well worth the money. "But what's the foul?" I hear you ask? Well, the controls, especially the volume control. Note, that it does actually work, but the difference in loudness between the volume increase/decrease steps were not set with a normal human ear as test, becuase some of the steps are way too big, especially between 1 and 2, because 2 is already medium loudness. when it should be still soft ( i think volume steps go up to 20 or something like that). Also volume is a "long press" when usually it is "short press" on these types of devices, so it's very hard to move just one loudness step, you usually move two or three, so the volume is like a wild witch, just like in Macbeth, nearly impossible to control!

Small but great sound.
A little awkward to operate due to lack of buttons but is more than made up for by the excellent reception, speaker sound quality and lightness for backpacking, working around the house etcBattery life is great seems to last all day long even on speaker. Headphones will make it last longer.

Loud keypress noise on earphones
When listening to the PR12 through earphones each keypress makes a loud “toc” sound. Most unpleasant. The "toc" noise is heard only with earphones.Otherwise the built and sound quality is fine.

Good value tiny radio with speaker
This is a really good value tiny radio with a speaker. Only really suitable for one person to listen to. The only issue that I have is that the volume control is a bit fiddly, a simple dial would have made it much easier to use.

This Radio ticks all the boxes for me..
I was amazed with the quality of this little Radio. It plays distant stations that I've never heard before with great reception. The Speaker is very loud if I turn it on full volume. It takes a microSD card with all my favourite music on. Perfect for when I'm working or on the move. Headphone socket for privacy. Its left on all day when I'm working and hasn't run the internal battery flat. Best Music Box I ever bought. About the same size as a Credit Card and just over 1cm depth. I have 2 now and leave one in the van.
