SANDISK Phone Drive for iPhone 256GB, USB-C & Lightning Dual Connectors

I film quite a lot of social media content every week, and by the end of a filming session my iPhone storage is usually screaming at me. I was constantly deleting old clips, moving things to the cloud, or trying to work out what I could safely remove just so I could keep filming. This SanDisk drive has made that whole routine much easier. Once I’m finished filming, I can plug it straight into my iPhone, move the larger video files across and free up space without having to involve a laptop every single time. For someone dealing with lots of 4K/video clips, that convenience makes a huge difference. What I particularly like is having both Lightning and USB-C connectors on the same drive. I can move footage off the phone and then plug the same drive into another device when I’m ready to organise, edit or back everything up. It has basically become part of my weekly content workflow now. The 256GB capacity is also genuinely useful for video. I didn’t want something that would fill up after transferring a handful of clips, and this gives me enough room to offload a decent amount of footage before I need to start organising it elsewhere. The biggest benefit for me is simply not having to worry about my phone being nearly full halfway through filming anymore. I can finish a shoot, transfer what I’ve recorded, clear the space and be ready for the next one. If you regularly shoot videos on your iPhone and find yourself constantly fighting with storage, this is one of those little devices that ends up being far more useful than you expect. It’s doing wonders for my workflow.

Does exactly as expected, with only a slight note, it doesn’t seem very fast. But that could be due to the phone being full, or another factor perhaps?

Convenient additional storage that can be carried in pocket. It gets a bit hot when copying huge amount of data.

Compatibility - worked well with my IPhone 15, good solid design with good transfer speeds. Size is as expected. The design feels nice with a solid click when changed/swivelled from usbc to lightning connector

Really easy to set up and use. My storage on my phone was full so this is really helpful to keep them safe. Can be used to transfer between phone and Mac!

Brilliant but pricy for what it is

It’s going back. New Sandisk app does not allow access for iOS apps like Files, photos or media players. This was the only function, that was advertised by sandisk, that I wanted from the device. Do not want backup just additional storage. It doesn’t work despite sandisk tech support telling me I needed to format the device with windows even though I had followed the setup process and already created folders ready for file access. These folders were visible in the app AND in windows when I plugged into my pc which means there was no need to format the device. So, device doesn’t do what was advertised and tech support don’t know what they are talking about - not a great experience but glad I found out before my holidays when I would need to use the storage!

The Good: - Really good build quality, practically flawless in this department. The Bad: - REQUIRES propietery app to use on iOS when its the MAIN use to buy this kind of flash drives. - The app itself is also confusing with their UI/UX. Non-standard design for no good reason. - Not clearly stated in the title of item to prevent this kind of confusion.
