Bikes & wheels/ tires storage-I obtained these hooks for the sake of bicycle storage in my shed, as I have 3 bikes, being a person who rides year round, despite living in Michigan. (Most of the winter, the roads are actually dry & free of ice/ snow, most years, except on snow days).Construction:The padding on the hooks are a very nice, thick, quality material, good for protecting the paint on a bike frame.-solid steel construction, with heavy duty bolts provided-great black paint coating to avoid rust if used in a garage, shed, etcOptimal Installation:-I personally would NOT recommend installing these hooks, if used for bike storage, by the method of hanging the bikes through the wheels, unless you have ability to easily lift & maneuver your bike while avoiding any banging into the spokes, especially if you will often be lifting your bike onto the hooks. The spokes are too easy to bend/ damage, compared to the frame, which can mess up your wheels being in true, pose safety issues, & damaged spokes can make tubes go flat. Wheels can cost as much as a while bike. I prefer to use the frame of the bike instead, for hanging, which requires a bit of measuring & devising for each specific bike, since they all differ in shape geometry.Installation issue: screws:-Not all screws are created equal: I discovered that it is not a simple matter to just replace the large diameter, thick screws that are provided with the hooks, because screws not rated for weight/ construction, can actually snap.-Use horizontal framing wood for installation:As seen in some of the customer photos, the best way to install the hooks is on a horizontal/ cross piece of wood, due to the fact that wood is strongest in this horizontal direction, (& more easily splits vertically, along studs), due to the arrangement of wood fibers. (And definitely pre-drill before installing screws). Some people do install such hooks right into studs, but I prefer not to mess with the strength of a building. If you have framing wood that is not exposed, but is covered by drywall, you can simply find the construction studs (with stud finder or nails), & then attach a cross piece of wood on the outside of the drywall, (such as a 2x6" or 8" or 12"), for holding the large bolts of the storage hooks, especially if they will hold heavy items, as they are intended to hold. If they’re being used only for light weight items, I would not have as much concern about studs.

Pros:It does what it is supposed to do, how stuff on the wall. In my case a, 20 ladder. The only thing I can suggest or recommend is make sure you get the proper rated anchors for the wall when mounting this hooks. The hooks are only as good as the anchors holding them to the wall.

The brackets are good but dont overload them they will break at the bend.

Overall: Recommended! Great product for supporting your heavy stuff on the wall. Easy to install and use. Very durable. Company has great customer service. Cheers!

These are good storage hooks and heavy duty as listed. We are using them in our garage to hang bikes on one set and then hoses on the other set. Come with strong screws and are easy to install.

I got these to hold our 2 kayaks and have no complaints. They installed easily with the included hardware and got out kayaks up off the garage floor. They seem to be very sturdy for holding our approx 45 lb kayaks. This is a simple product for a simple need.

These storage brackets are perfect for my old town kayaks. I added some bracing on my wall and attached these brackets. I measured my kayaks to make sure the brackets were evenly spaced. These hang just right, so my kayak is leaning towards the wall. I really like how these are strong and durable. Installing them was easy and I no longer have kayaks in my way! In the past, I have tried different things to store my kayaks, like pulleys and ropes and hooks from the ceiling, but those were always such a hassle to use. These wall brackets are simple and an effective way to store my kayaks. I put the paddles and lifejackets inside to utilize that space too.

I decided to give these a whirl to put my kayak on and I'm hoping and praying that these things hold up that I'm apprehensive. I mounted them to the back of my shed, put my kayak up there and immediately I could tell they were stressed. I do have a tandem kayak which is larger than the others, but if they advertise these could hold a kayak or canoe, I thought I would give them a whirl. Speaking of canoes, they must be out of their mind thinking this would hold a canoe....
