We have tried other brands before and nothing quite compares. Sure other peanuts are OK, but when you pop the freshness seal on these Planters nuts, you can immediately smell the quality wafting out. I'm not even sure WHY they are better or what makes them the best. They just are. Ordering on Amazon seems to always get us a fresher batch than we get in the local grocery store. We keep these around for a quick snack at work when we get too busy to eat an actual meal. Sometimes peanuts get a bad rap as being a salty snack, and these do have a nice salty taste but the sodium content per serving is not terrible. They are also low in saturated fats and have zero cholesterol, plus a fair amount of protein. Yes, you can probably find cheaper peanuts out there... but take it from us... these Planters peanuts are worth it. You won't be sorry you bought them.

After going through two 35 ounce containers of Planter's Cocktail peanuts, which were not as good as they usually are from Planter's, I spotted the three-pack of 16-ounce containers at a good price and purchased them. They are up to par, taste as they have always tasted, and larger sized than the ones in the 35-ounce container. So while both say Cocktail peanuts these 16-ounce containers are the normal excellent quality I have come to expect from Planter's while those in the large container were not nearly as good.

These are great. Not a bad peanut in all 3 cans. I don't like dry roasted peanuts, there just so - dry. These are awesome though. I use them to make my own nut mix. Because I'm not a hazelnut fan, and most mixed nuts available have hazelnuts, I prefer my own mix, and these are the best peanuts for that. 5 stars for freshness, flavor, and value.

this is a good-sized can of peanuts for a very good price. the peanuts are big and flavorful.

These are good quality peanuts that go well with beer and/or DYI trail mix with dried cranberries raisins and others nuts.From looking at the ingredients and nutritional information, these Cocktail peanuts have:1. LESS salt than the regular salted Planters dry-roasted peanuts (95mg vs. 150mg) per ounce, nearly half.2. Slightly more salt that the "lightly salted" Planters Dry roasted peanuts (95mg vs. 70mg)3. Fat content is identical between these cocktail and Planters dry roasted peanuts.Overall they are a little softer than the dry roasted, but still crunch and have excellent texture.The container is perfect for those with big hands (HUGE!), and also great for adding trail mix.

What a fantastic bargain! They arrived quickly, and are fresh and delicious. Others have commented that they aren't jumbo Virginia peanuts and they are correct, it states nowhere on the can that they are, so I'm not sure where that comes from. What they are is perfect for snacking, cooking with and making homemade peanut butter. I'll definitely purchase them again.

The peanuts were excellent, not hard, not soft, and the right taste. There is some skin inside, does not really bother me, just an observation. I liked most the fact that they are a little oily (probably not good, but if I wanted a non-oily snack, I would eat celery) which allows me to add a little salt to them. They are salty to begin with, the extra salt is just my own preference. Will order more.

I normally get these when they are on sale at the drug store or grocery. When I saw the price for the subscription price on Amazon, I could not beat the price for the same product and quantity. I am a bargain shopper and each bargain is a win. These are a win for our home and budget.
