Prints just like the name brand at a much cheaper cost. Great print quality and usually lasts about a semester in the classroom setting. Great for printing makeup work or originals for classroom printing.

This is an update after the company read my review and contacted me to make it right.I'm upgrading to three stars because the cartridges do not work for me but LxTek did stand by them and took the extraordinary step to read my review and contact me to make it right, and processed a refund of my purchase price.The previous vendor I bought from does not seem to be around any longer so I tried these, but unfortunately my supply of GENUINE HP CARTRIDGES lasted longer than expected, and I did not open the first of these LxTek cartridges until more than a year later. By that time LxTek could not refund me through normal Amazon processes.The first problem I had with the cartridges is they did not fit the printer correctly. Where GENUINE HP CARTRIDGES basically slip right in, these jam up and I had to wiggle and shove and then finally they slide into place. Every one of five cartridges I tried were like this. One of the five I never could get into the printer. Something is not sized correctly. I would recommend that LxTek use a caliper and micrometer and compare every external dimension of their cartridges against the same dimensions of a genuine HP cartridge, or against the corresponding place in the printer. I have not done that, but I am confident I would find measurements that are far enough outside of whatever the tolerance is for these to prevent them from fitting correctly.Then when I print with these LxTek cartridges, every time I get an error message that there is something wrong with the printer that requires intervention. I can't guess the reason for this error message. When I reinstall the genuine HP cartridge the printer works perfectly, except that it's low on toner. Then after fighting for five minutes to get the LxTek cartridge into the printer, as soon as I click print I get the error message again. I got it to print once on a ten page document, and it stopped after three of the ten pages and gave me that error message that something is wrong with the printer that requires intervention.I contacted LxTek and they first sent me replacement cartridges, but those did not fit or work correctly either.My printer is an HP P1102W. LxTek says they are working on the problem with the cartridges and I am hopeful they can fix it.

I have an older HP Laserjet P1006 that I use all the time for my printing except when I absolutely have to do color. I always try and look around for the best deal on printer cartridges as I use this printer daily. The other day when I was looking for a new cartridge on Amazon I ran across the LxTek Compatible Toner Cartridge HP 85A CE285A which is the toner cartridge I use. They offered a 4 pack for less than what I paid for a 2 pack the last time I ordered my cartridges from another vendor. I was a little leery at first since I had not ordered this brand before but I was pleasantly surprised when it came. All 4 cartridges were placed nice and neat in a small box with an instruction pamphlet that explained exactly how to install the cartridge. The cartridge went in easy without a hitch and when I printed out a test page to see how the ink quality was I was extremely surprised. It was much darker and better quality than the last cartridges I ordered. You cannot beat this price or quality for a replacement cartridge anywhere that I could find. I will be ordering this brand again when these 4 run out and I may even order another 4 before then to keep on hand as I do a lot of printing.

Upon opening the box, the first thing I noticed is that these toners are completely shrink-wrapped & held in place by form fitting foam ends, both of which are a step up from the way some other 3rd-party 85A toners are packaged.The first one was easy to install and recognized as 'full' by the printer with no problem. Print quality is excellent. I bought this 4-pack for less than ten bucks per toner, which makes them the best value 85A toner cartridge I've found so far.FYI: I weigh brand new (and spent) toners to see how much toner they are able to dispense. Its new weight of 567 grams is nearly 28 grams (~ 1 ounce) heavier than most other 3rd-party 85A toners I've used in the past. Given that the empty weight is usually not much over 510 grams, that's a fairly large weight difference, and I expect that will translate into more pages printed. I will update this review when I find out, which shouldn't take too long because we print a lot of basic documents in the office printer/fax machine that uses 85A toners.

As others have mentioned I had trouble with fitting these into the P1102W. There is a spring that needs to be compressed on the left side before it will more easily fit in. That wouldn't warrant a one star review by itself.The main problem is that this ink cartridge is flagged as a non-genuine HP product and will prevent printing. Amazon has a printer checker to determine if a particular cartridge will fit, I had assumed this also meant it would print. This is not the case, if you are buying this to replace a P1102W cartridge save your money.Update:I was contacted by their Customer Service team who was eager to remedy the situation. Offering a replacement or refund. I went ahead with the refund and have updated my review to reflect my overall experience.

My LxTek cartridges shipped very quickly and were eligible with Prime... so the shipping cost was perfect. I compared the price to the HP brand refill (HP 85A) and was psyched that I could get 4 of the LxTek cartridges for $36.99 ($9.24 each!) compared to 1 of the HP cartridges for $75.89. I've been buying HP cartridges for years at Staples, Office Depot, and Amazon. I can't believe that I just learned about LxTek. I've been printing with these CE285A cartridges now for several weeks (I have two HP P1102w printers), and the quality is spot on! Don't hesitate to go with the LxTek replacements. They are well worth the money and it will save you in the short and long term. 5 stars!

OEM Print cartridges are unbelievably expensive. Effectively you can buy the printer for below maker's cost but they get you on grossly overpriced replacement toner. If the OEM replacements were more reasonably priced, the aftermarket products would not exist...........BUT the OEM's don't seem to want a reasonable price, they want a higher than fair price. I have bought after market toner before but it was substandard. This one is as good as HP in my opinion. Excellent buy. Pleased with my purchase!

Just installed the first cartridge in my HP P1102W, what a great product never mind the price, the printing is so much darker and easier to read.

Item worked as expected.
