Carhartt Men's Relaxed Fit Duck Blanket Lined Detroit Jacket

LOVE IT. It’s smart, solid and very sturdy. Like all Carhartt products (in my opinion) they feel strong and as though they’d last forever, this is no exception. You get what you pay for with Carhartt. If you’re buying, I’d advise you to size down, cause Carhartt is usually more oversized than anything. I’m a large so I went medium and the fit is great, even over a jumper it’s grand. Two inside pockets, two outer plus a zipped chest pocket make the coat very practical. Buttons on the cuffs takeaway the looseness/baggyness of the arms, I’ve seen a lot of people complain about this aspect of the coat. It’s warm enough with a soft inner lining as shown on the pictures. If you’re a fan of Carhartt, I’d say this is a must have item.

My husband is a huge carhartt fan, and had his eye on this jacket for a long time. I was in between on sizes as previous carhartt has always come up big. With this jacket I sized down ( he’s usually an XL) brought a L and it fit him like a glove! It was like it was tailored especially for him. The make of carhartt garments is exceptional and well worth the money. This jacket will last him a long time, he tells me it’s lovely to wear, warm and goes with everyday and smarter looks too.

Had a Cornerstone J763 before. This is a more refined product and less bulky as it's blanket-lined instead of quilt. There's a lot of fuzzy information about sizes for this jacket online, so I just went by chest size. I'm pretty square-framed and it fits perfectly. Not a tent at all. If you're quite slight your mileage might vary, because it doesn't taper from armpit to waist. Lots of reviews mention sleeve length, but you just button the cuffs and the sleeves naturally concertina and wrinkle up. Anything else and you'd have cold wrists, so I can't really see how it's an issue.

Bought this as a smart casual jacket for autumn to spring. Started with a Large as that matched my measurements, but found the relaxed fit left a large gap at the waist for the cold to get in. Changed for a medium which was a snugger fit. Wore it all day on a city break in UK October where temperature was around 10°C. Kept me warm with a base layer and sweater underneath. Also worked well for travelling with just a long sleeved t shirt underneath. Outside pockets keep hands warm. Enough pockets for wallet, phone, glasses. Competitive price compared to buying direct from manufacturer.

Great jacket but even on sizing down I find the jacket to be large on me. Sized down from xxl to xl but bear in mind the fit. The one I received is a regular, relaxed fit and I believe there are quite a few fitting styles and that isn’t mentioned in the description. I’m keeping the jacket but sizing is not as straight forward with this jacket as one would think. I find I have to do the same with Columbia jackets where I size down to a large from a xxl, maybe its American sizing?

Order a size down for tailored fit (if your slim) or actual size for looser fit. I’m a medium, slim but lifts weights, ordered a small and it fit beautifully tailored, however I wanted a slightly looser for muscle growth and the occasional extra layer like a hoody underneath so I’ve ordered a medium and am returning the small. Quality wise, it is superb, will last forever. And even in the small, movement was fantastic. Edit: the medium arrived ahead of schedule which is great and is much more comfortable for me. Still feels tailored somehow but with a little extra room and comfort.

Schöne robuste Jacke . Nur viel zu große Ärmel . Deswegen 3 Sterne ! Ist halt nur für bestimmte Körperbaue geeignet . Bin 1,85 m und wiege um die 90 kilo. Trotzdem habe ich mich wie in einem sack gefüllt

Ich habe bereits eine Jacke (auf Messe gekauft wegen Größenanprobe und Begutachtung) und konnte daher gleich die "richtige" Größe bestellen. Die Jacke fällt vor allem an den Schultern recht groß aus, die Passform als solches ist aber sehr gut. Die Armlänge passt hervorragend (Größe L bei 1,84m und 85kg). Am Anfang ist die Jacke recht steif, dieser Umstand ist jedoch gewollt und zeugt von der Materialgüte. Das Gewebe ist schon dicht und bei Regen quillt das Material etwas auf und stellt damit einen gewissen Regenschutz/Dampfausgleich her. Die Polsterung ist nicht zu dick, so dass die Jack auch als Übergangsjacke Herbst/Winter und Winter/Frühling herhalten kann. Lt. Verkäufer auf Messe kommen Reklamationen äusserst selten vor und wenn dann erst nach langer Tragezeit (>10 Jahre), was ich mehr als akzeptabel finden würde. Ich habe beide Farben (schwarz und braun) - das Braun weicht vom Bild etwas ab: es ist in natura etwas dunkler und etwas mehr rötlich (Farbe wie knusprige Panadierung). Die Jacke wird ihrem Anspruch als Arbeitsjacke mehr als gerecht, obwohl ich sie mehr als Freizeitjacke und bem Reiten/Stallarbeit benutze. Vermisst habe ich höchstens eine zweite Innentasche, aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Fazit: Robuste Jacke für den Alltagseinsatz, die man nicht mehr missen möchte. Ich würde sie jederzeit wieder kaufen.

This jacket is amazing. I bought it as a lighter jacket but still something that can keep me warm. I wear it with or without layers and it fits amazing. I like the adjustable buttons on the back to make it more cinched at the waist. I wash this jacket regularly and it holds up amazing. I actually think it feels more comfortable the more I wash it. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a jacket like this. It will last a really long time and I get a lot of compliments on it.
