Lovely shaving experience!
The media could not be loaded. Excellent shaving soap for beginners as well as for experienced wetshavers. Highly recommended after more than a week of daily use.The packaging is really great as it helps in whipping up lather very quickly in the tub itself. The tub can also be used as a bowl for bowl lathering so that's very well thought of.The fragrance is very fresh and earthy. You'll feel the smell of Citrus/orange/Mandarin and the blissful smell of wet soil all coming together. Very classic smell. The lather is dense and slick enough to last you 3 passes in just 15-20 swirls of brush. Very impressed by the cushioning the lather provides. Gives you a smooth glide with the razor. The soap puck is a hard puck which will last a lot more than your traditional shaving creams/soft soaps. All in all, a very good purchase that's going to last me quite a few months despite being a daily shaver. You can refer to the attached images and video to get an idea about the lathering, the packing and the soap body.

Excellent product! Go for it
The media could not be loaded. I really like the new fragrance as well as the packaging. The bigger bowl size makes it easier to lather the puck inside its original box. While the puck looks small, I checked and it is 50 grams. Mind you, this is a hard soap so it will lather amazingly well with the slightest quantity. It should easily last 6 months+ with daily shaving. The fragrance is quite nice and natural smelling. Very pleasing herbal and woody notes, mild enough to not bother you but it fills the bathroom with a divine aroma when lathering. The lather is stable and voluminous. It offers a good amount of slickness and doesn't dissipate for quite some time allowing you a pleasant shaving experience. All in all, I am very happy with this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone on the fence about it.

Promising soap, with few improvements needed
I gave the soap a few tries and while it seems promising, there are a few areas for improvement. The soap felt a bit dry on my skin during use, which isn’t typical for me and led to a slight razor burn which also means the slickness is on the lower side. I don't feel I can regularly use it. It also seems that the formula shares some ingredients with the prev Sattwa shaving soap, as it carries a similar, somewhat overpowering scent, which was not entirely pleasant as i had mentioned in the previous review. The orange fragrance was subtler than expected and was overpowered by the other scent elements, affecting the overall balance. A stronger orange/lemon note would help in creating a more refreshing aromaThe shaving container is very thoughtfully designed. It’s easy to use, and it makes lathering up very easy, definitely a great design choice which I loved. With a few adjustments to the scent, slickness, and hydration, I believe this soap has the potential to become an excellent product for regular shaves

Neroli with lemon and orange hard soap
Shave with cold water splashNo pre-shave (solely to try the soap)Used Dscosmetic ax-se plate 3 (perfectly balanced close comb) with Gillette 365 India - outstanding combination (for me).Note - blade on its 3rd use today.Satthwa shaving soap (neroli orange peel and lemon) applied using Frank shaving G5 shaving brush (synthetic) - face latherNote: Packaging has been changed to Proraso style cup - what a fantastic improvementThe puck is really hard, reminds me of shaving soaps by Rustic Art.A quick whiff - to my nose - natural - Neroli is prominent with the spiciness of orange peel and lemon (and not artificial lime) (not too strong but offers spiciness).Multiple pics uploaded including the ingredients pic and some lather shots on the brush and face. After 7-9 swirls, the lather on the brush and soap container looks frothy. Now, as someone who prefers hard soaps over croaps, I am well aware by now to never underestimate such a lather (similar learning from MWF, rustic and so many more). As I swirl to generate the lather, the combination of this amazing quality brush knot, the lather bloomed really well. Check the next shot of the brush. It felt quite calming and all I could get was a subtle tone of Neroli lingering around with an undertone of citrus. The lather on the face seems conventional - first two pics are before the first pass and the third is before the second pass. The slickness as I shave seems adequate and residual slickness is not bad too. The glide was fine and I had no problem or felt any kind of dryness during the shave. The lather did not dissipate at all and it could actually accept a lot of hydration. Perhaps, on a holiday, I could have chosen to spend 20 minutes just generating the lather.Post shave moisturization is okay and that is perhaps my first gripe with the soap. But then, I acknowledge that a good after shave can offer that as well. Since I prefer alcohol based lotions, I generally prefer the soap or cream does that to some extent. To summarise, it is a perfectly fine soap. However, my second and only other gripe is the price. At ₹475 for 50 gms (₹950 for 100 gms), I am entering the shave to expect a tallow type quality.First pass - with the grainSecond pass - across on the cheeks and jaw and with on the neckAlum (not used)Post shave included application of Yardley Gold after shave lotion (no burn at all - added a drop of menthol in the after shave)A pretty good shave!Join the reddit group - Wetshavers_India

A new all-natural take on the good old shaving soap
[This is a review of “ Satthwa Organic Shaving Soap infused with Neroli, Lemon & Orange | Create the Perfect Lather | Excellent for Silky Smooth Shaves | Hydrates and Shields, 50g (1.7oz)[As a vine reviewer, I am pledging not to be compensated or influenced by the vendor; I state my opinions based on my personal experience without any bias or pressure; And yes, we pay tax on all the eligible products so they are not exactly complimentary]This all natural product from an Indian company has literally turned the table, or should we say your shaving cup, on one of the oldest practices of humans - the humble shaving ritual using a soap. This all natural product from this company Sattwa is a heady combo of a soap made form lemon, orange and number of other skin care products including castor oil and coconut oil. The effect is a nice small tablet (the size of a circular cheese slice that is pearl-colored and fits into the container provided. As a big shaving fan (I have invested in at least 10 different systems over the years) and therefore quite well-qualified to check this out, in my own humble manner. Here is our analysis.1. Performance - Excellent! This all natural oil combo of a shaving soap. The soap is quite light and is presented in a shaving cup. This is a very thoughtful move .2. Smell- not so obvious. This is a bit of let down. The product is almost odorless, if you ask me. They missed an opportunity here.3. Cost - Just right. Actually quite in line . For a natural product, this could last you 2-3 months last up to two months and quite reasonable4. Quality: Good! Consistent and well labeled. So , this product is very effective for the purpose for which it is made: to make you look smart and to give you a nice shave . I liked this product a lot and the product itself definitely delivered value to me in the form of good shaving and skin care. On balance a full five-star rating is probably about right.

Enjoyed using this infused with oil soap
I do not have a brush, and did not get the exact lather as shown in the video. I tried rubbing on my skin. I tried rubbing between my hands. I will try - putting it in a mesh net, this seems to work for my other hand soap to create a better lather. I truly believe I just have to add my own mesh net to achieve a better lather in general. (as this works for any hard soap) I did not deduct because it did not lather.I was most impressed with the following: * The ad site clearly listed ALL ingredients in the product. Sadly, many products advertised online do not, so BRAVO to the marketing team. * I liked that the ingredients clearly stated their natural base/origin. There were not chemical or synthetic names. * I liked that the country of origin (India) was disclosed. again, many products do not properly disclose country of origin, especially when made in China. I have enjoyed many of the products produced in India.Overall experience. I actually tested this side-by-side with another shave product. I gave THIS product a full 5-star rating, and was generous with the other product, giving it a 4. I liked that this product left my skin feeling silkier and more moisturized, and not so dry and harsh after shaving. The ingredients in this product, vs, the other are more natural.I have yet to see how long the bar of soap will last. However, my assumption is a long time. As I am using a bar laundry soap for hand washing stains out of reusable diapers, and such a small amount of soap foams up and cleans those diapers. I will report back if this soap just rinses away too quickly. but, I think that if I had a shave brush, then all the excess foam would still stay in the container. Well packaged if you did have a brush.

Pleasant, Refreshing Scent
What I love most of all is that this product is all natural. It’s made from organic Ingredients - a blend of coconut oil, neem oil, and kukum butter, with lemon, orange, and neroli oils, the shaving soap has a refreshing scent that definitely upped my mood. I don’t have a shaving brush, and the design of the case is geared towards using this soap with one, to facilitate lathering the soap in the bowl. It still did an excellent job on moisturizing my skin as I shaved, leaving no nicks and no razor burn. I deducted one star for the cost: even though the ingredient list is all natural, $13 seemed rather high. But I am very happy with the results, and if it lasts the six months that the product page claims, it’ll be better value than the couple of cans of shaving foam I’d go through in that amount of time. I’ll buy it again.

Huh. I'm impressed!
A little background here, because I feel it's relevant to the review.I'm one who shaves my noggin as well as my face, and I have a very full and coarse hair. Up until now, I've used shave lotion for years, as it does a better job for me than shave foam. I use name brand cartridge razors, as I've had poor luck with nicks using razors which use replaceable blades. Disposable razors just catch on my face.I wasn't expecting much from this soap, but figured I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did! I followed the directions, and soaked a brush in hot water, then squeezed out the excess. I found the water needs to be VERY hot to properly melt the soap when applying to the brush. When I was applying this, I thought "this isn't working. Nothing is transferring to my skin." But, a quick swipe with my finger revealed a slick coating on my skin. I applied the soap to the rest of my face and head, and proceeded to shave. This is the first product I've tried which seems to be a tad better than good shave lotion. The razor pulled smoothly and easily, without any nicks on my head or face. The back of my neck tends to get slightly irritated while shaving, but I did not experience this with this soap.It has a clean, slightly floral scent, but it's a pleasant scent, and subtle enough it will not overpower after shave or cologne. My only pause in saying I'll definitely be switching to this is it does add a minute or two to shaving, due to the application process vs. lotion.Great product overall. Genuinely surprised and impressed!

Works amazingly well!
As a female with dark, thick facial hair, I have to shave my “beard” regularly. I was really impressed by this shaving soap. It was really easy to use—I used the lid to soak the brush (I used a new makeup brush, which worked fine) as directed and then used the brush to whip up some lather to apply. I didn’t get a lot of lather, but I found I didn’t need much lather—just enough to coat the brush with the soap to apply to my skin. The resulting shave was amazing. I don’t think I have ever achieved that close of a shave with the resulting skin feeling so smooth with no irritation from being shaved. The soap also seemed to help with the problem areas where I often have to do multiple passes to get all the pesky hairs, because I only had to do a single pass over those areas. The scent was ok (I’m not a big fan of Neroli, which is noticeable in the scent). All in all, I’m very pleased with this shaving soap!
