Another great Addams family adventure. The first film was focused mainly on their hometown and coming to terms with having neighbours. This film unleashes the Addams on numerous places meeting different people and exploring different places. They obviously bring along their usual chaos and spin on things while dealing with Wednesday’s happy go lucky attitude. All in all another great adventure that’s perfect for the family to sit down and experience together

A new Addams Family movie. Another done with stop motion, this being a sequel to the Addams family movie of two years ago. Mind you this does rather stand alone, not mentioning any of the character things that were left dangling at the end of that one, so you can watch this without having seen that. And if you don't know the Addams Family characters and set up by now, then where have you been all these years? Wednesday isn't feeling appreciated. Or part of her family. A billionaire scientists offer her what she wants. So in trying to pull the family back together, Gomez takes them on a road trip. All the time trying to keep a secret from his daughter.... Same excellent production values as the first. Same excellent voice cast. This does work well as a sequel as it does a different story to the first one, by taking it on the road rather than keeping it entirely in their house and surroundings. The story does sideline Grandma who doesn't get that much to do, but it doesn't forget about her either. So that works fine. It does, by having the story move from location to location regularly, keep things moving. The level of humour is pretty good throughout. As ever there are moments that might be a bit much for the very young, but that's why it's a PG film. And as with the first film, it doesn't overstate the just be yourself moral. That's always there, but never being hammered home at all. Thankfully. Best thing about this though? The fourth and final act of the movie. In these days of movies that can be overstuffed and drag on unsure how to end, it was a pleasure to watch a film with a finale that is paced just right. It knows what it has to do in the final act, and it never overstretches anything. It is a refreshing change. Keep watching till the end credits roll. Although there's nothing extra during or after them. A third of these might hit the law of diminishing returns, so it's probably best to leave it here. But this was a fun and worthwhile watch. The dvd has the following language and subtitle options: Languages: English, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, English audio description. Subtitles: English, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian. It goes into the main menu when loaded with no trailers or ads. The menu is one of those irksome icon only ones. To get to the extras, they are laid out on the far right so use the right button on the dvd remote. There are three, which can be watched individually or all in a row. We're altogether Addams: Seven mins about the movie and the voice actors. Not a bad watch, thanks mostly to the production shots which are quite interesting. Courage to be Kooky: three mins about just being yourself. Too short to have any impact. The Addams family roadtrip checklist: a five min and quite fun and well put together look at what they take along, and how you can do similar. Parental guidance required for one bit though.
