Solved my 45° slope problem
I have a small but steep 45° slope that has been a problem for years. Water runs off before it can soak in and I have attempted to solve it in the past with ugly useless board terracing. This geo grid is just perfect. I smoothed out the slope and set aside the extra soil. Then I laid down a section of geo grid and locked it down with long landscape staples. The package includes staples but not as many or as thick as I wanted.I then got 4 bags of garden soil at home depot and mixed it about 50/50 with native soil, then used that to fill in the geo grid. I could hardly believe how easy this was and how well this soil mix stayed in place when I carefully watered it in. The next day I planted the rosemary from a flat. The sections are only 10" so you can't put a large plant in, although I opened one section up to give me space for a one gallon tree. It's been a few days now and the soil is staying in place incredibly well. The water is penetrating the underlying native soil with no run off. I am overjoyed with this product. It's a terrific value.BTW, I did this by myself in one day and I'm 79 years old. It will be a snap for you! Buy it!

Know how to secure in place
Was a little tricky in the beginning setting it up but went smooth once I figured how to secure it. Has been holding up pretty well. Looked good placing it in. Seems to be holding up pretty well so far after 8 tons of dirt spread over it. Decent price.

Functionality
I'm sure these work great for a smaller application. We were going to use them on the driveway but the sides kept folding over. We were using a dump trailer so I imagine, if using a shovel or smaller equipment would work better.

A nightmare
Nowhere and nothing tells how far apart to anchor the staples into the ground. If you have rocky ground like I do there is no alternative way to keep the item in place. If any place or part lifts up while working, it is impossible to press it back down. The entire thing was a nightmare.

Durable and easy to set up
I have dense grade (1” rocks down to dust) filling the holes and have maybe 1/2” or so covering. I just used my tractor to flatten the area “good enough” (didn’t check for level or anything) and put it straight over the clay. The stakes were easy to use since my clay was wet, but spots that had gravel previously took a lot of work to put in. If you have hard ground, definitely upgrade yourself to better quality stakes.I’ll be honest, I didn’t watch a video or anything. Just kind of went for it. I have two horses that stand on it and walk over it constantly, drive my tractor over it, and we have also had lots of rain and snow that has made me absolutely delighted that I installed this. I believe I have had it installed for a month or so, I will update another time further in the future to speak on the durability. You can definitely tell where the grid isn’t - the dense grade likes to move around. I packed it in real good, and it’s amazing. For the price especially, I am a fan and will be ordering again once the weather is good. I ordered three boxes and went three wide in front of my gate, and one wide in front of my barn. One wide is plenty enough for a tractor (assuming you feather out on the sides if your path is raised) and three wide is perfect for a spacious vehicle path.
