A quiet and perfect portable unit
Perfect size and portability. Made well doesn’t feel cheaply made. It runs quieter than I expected and I can make ice for the week instead of using ice trays every other day. I love it! I love the color too.

Speed at which ice is created
Excellent device. Cleaned it. Added water and immediately the unit stared producing ice. I'm thoroughly satisfied

Resurrected
This icemaker lasted 70 days before it quite working. The strangest thing happened. After being unplugged for a day, the unit was plugged back in and it started working. It's been about 3 days and the little machine continues to make ice.

I like this unit better than my previous one
This is actually my second ice maker. My first one was probably made by the same manufacturer since it make the ice the same way and it uses the same ice catching bin. The main difference I saw was this machine has a handle (old one did not have a carrying handle), it has a separate cleaning button (old one required holding the power button for 10 seconds), and it has and air vent opening on the left and right sides So air can be pulled in one side and blown out other (old one one had an exhaust vent). Most of these claim 9 ice cubes in a small or large bullet size and claim it makes them in 6 minutes. Although the old one still works I needed a little more ice than it could make so it gave me a chance to try a newer model. No difference in the ice coming out. The handle is the best feature for one handed carrying vs using both hands to carry the old. Both have a drain plug on the bottom. Although it recommends running the cleaning once a week I’ve never really done that. Every time I’m using ice I end up adding fresh water to replace what I took out as ice cubes so the water is just there for a day or two depending on how much ice I use. If you take out the ice bin there is a fill line for the water. As my pro hint, I turn off the ice maker and leave the ice bin in and fill it until I just notice the water touch the bottom of the ice bin. Even going over a little doesn’t hurt it. I then turn the machine on. As it sucks the water up there’s no water touching the bin anymore. Now when you first put water in it the ice doesn’t last as long. It starts to last longer as the water inside becomes chilled. Filling it with cold water will make the cubes last longer. Only the section that makes the ice has a freezer. The rest of the unit isn’t a freezer so the ice will slowly melt but the water is reused to make more ice. Both units I have isn’t completely sealed and it is possible for tiny insects to get in. I tend to lift the ice bin to glance at the water to make sure nothing is in there. The water holder is white plastic so it’s easy to see if anything is in there. Now I use filtered water to reduce chance of any buildup in the machine and I don’t have to run any cleaning solution through it.

“add water” light
Ice maker worked great for a while but now unfortunately it will turn on and then show the “add water” light even though the tank is full. i have tried countless things to get it to work again like deep cleaning it, powering off and back on, unplugging and plugging back in, emptying the water and starting fresh, and nothing. it seems from the reviews that many people have had the same problem. i tried using live chat on their website for help as it is still under the warranty listed on their website, it instructed me to send my info and said they would email me within 24 hours, i haven’t heard back from them. i have since attempted to send my info again, as the ice machine is defective and i would like a new one or advice on how to fix this problem. surely they’re aware of this problem seeing as it appears to be a very common issue

Not efficient.
Yes it will keep you in ice , one or two people if you make a drink every 30 mins. The problem is the ice in the tray at the bottom melts so adding to the water tray and recycles. The machine never fills the ice basket and shuts down. I have a ice machine in my freezer and I got this so I wouldn’t have to open the freezer every 30 min. I filled the water tank 4 1/2 hours ago and it never ran out of water. I dumped the ice in my freezer tray and I’m going to shut the unit down. I guess if you want a back up ice maker these units will do the job ,but how much energy are they sucking up compared to a freezer ice maker. Open the freezer door for about 7 seconds every 30 minutes to scoop enough ice to fill your glass. Sure DOESNT work like ice machines in a commercial environment. Not impressed ! Could use a little more chill factor in the machine. Im glad I got the tape off the ejection plate before I put it to use ,,,, not mentioned in the unpacking instructions.
