That's not a bad thing - it makes it far safer, and less expensive than a true neon sign would be.Also take note that it is "USB Powered". That means it has a USB cord, but no power block. Again, not really a bad thing -- who doesn't have a spare phone block laying around these days? If you don't, it can also plug into a spare USB port on a computer, TV, or gaming system.The cord has a built-in set of controls that include on/off and multiple brightness settings. It is flexible enough to be used as a night light but can be set bright enough to still look good in a fully lit room.It comes with several hanging accessories, including adhesive hooks, wall anchors and even a chain, for that true "neon sign" look.If you have a gaming enthusiast in your life, they are sure to love this enhancement to their gaming space.

I recently got the Gamepad Shape Neon Sign from the Amazon Store for my 10-year-old grandson, and I know he's going to love it. The vibrant colors really make the sign stand out, providing a nice ambient light while he and his friends are saving the princess or taking down bad guys on his gaming console.The package includes the hardware needed to hang the sign, and I used the supplied chain to hang it over a hook I already had on the wall to test it out and snap a quick pic. One thing to note is that the USB power block is not included, but that’s not a big deal since I have plenty of extras.However, the on/off switch doesn’t have a memory feature, so the light won’t automatically turn back on if it’s plugged into a switched outlet. You'll need to manually press the button each time you want it on or off. Personally, I prefer neon signs with memory so I can control them with Amazon Alexa Smart Plugs. I hope the manufacturers will consider adding a smart-ready switch in the future.Overall, the Gamepad Shape sign looks fantastic, was well-packaged, and will make an excellent addition to any game room. Definitely a 5-Star Recommended Buy!

It's see-able but small ....I thought it would be bigger . Lights is some what bright. And the string to hang up is a bit short.

Quite literally not much to say other than kick butt sign. Its BRIGHT when full power. and not too dim when at its dimmest. Love this sign, love the colors of it, and love the durability of it. Was very well made!

This is a nice little addition to your game room.It is about 13" x 13", so not large. It is not neon tubes. That would be a lot more expensive. This is miniature colored LEDs behind white tubes. The effect is nice. And, it's decently bright even in a normally lit room in daylight. If it's too bright in darker light, the control has a dimmer.It's powered by a USB-A plug. You supply the power adapter as one is not included. The white power cord from the light to the control is about 55" and then the power cord to the USB-A plug is about 20".It comes with several mounting options including a chain to hang it from, a couple of adhesive hooks, and some screws and wall anchors. There are two holes in the top that you hang it from. It's pretty light and I just use two very small nails in the wall.The one thing I'd change about it is that it does not remember it's settings when unplugged, so you can't use any kind of standard wall socket automation to turn it on and off. You have to be able to reach the control switch. So, you have to think about that when you mount it. Unfortunately, I'm finding that a lot of these types of things are like that these days and you don't know for sure until you buy it.
