Not Too Hard to Use
This is not hard to use to test for drinks. Not sure how someone would take it with them.

Great option
Having the availability of products like this help keep people safe. The packets are small enough to keep in your wallet and have handy when questions arise about whether someone might have ill intent as you drink. I cannot attest to their accuracy, though.

Good concept, but I wish it was more practical.
This is a great concept for your safety when you are out "celebrating" especially around people you don't know and trust. Though I must say that the practicality of this product has some caveats that one must consider. First and foremost this only comes with 2 tests, which detects 3 common drugs that are used to target the unsuspecting victim. The practicality lies in the adminstering of this test. There are some scenarios you don't want to test this in a setting that might look akward, though your safety is first, it will make you look akward. Testing one drink could be good, and in the event something does happen, you will need to test the other drink. For your safety, you want to test ALL your drinks that are "served" to you by the buyer. That being said, this is more of an "after the fact" drink tester for when the worst happens, you might be able to test the remainder of the drink at hand after effects took over. The concept does mean well, though I cannot vouch for the effectiveness of this product as I don't possess any of these substances that it tests for.I find it safer to be occupied by someone who is a friend and family member that will be sober or aware of their surroundings and interactions. Best thing for someone to do is practice the practical safety habits in such scenarios, and don't trust anyone who you don't know to serve you drinks. It happens too often, though I imagine this test kit could be utilized to test discretely in the scenario when someone is really being suspicious. The kit contains the test platter and a dropper that you drop the drink/mix onto and will provide results much like a covid-19 test. Unfortunatly this only comes with 2 tests per package.

Good To Have Around
This isn't the most subtle thing in the world, but it's better to have something if you suspect any foul play at all than not be able to keep yourself safe. I would really recommend having these on hand at a party or behind a bar just to help people feel more secure. They test for a pretty nice range of dangerous substances, too, which is nice.

A little too bulky and involved to test..
These are basically like doing a self test for covid. Nothing wrong with that, but if you think your college kid is going to pull this out in the middle of a party to test their drink for foul play, don't bet on it. It's a little too involved and obvious for even the most confident/conscientious college kid.Plus it's somewhat bulky - it's not going to fit in a pocket without likely breaking it. I searched and easily found simpler and less expensive products that fit into a wallet or pocket, and test by just dropping a drop of the drink onto the test card. Much more likely those will actually be used. Search for drink spike test, for instance.

Comfort knowing I have these on hand
(Un?)fortunately I can't test how well these work since I don't have the "ingredients" necessary. But I take comfort knowing I have these on hand for a night out for me or a loved one. I removed two stars since two parts of the kit are loose outside the packaging--the dropper and the vial. I wish they were inside the sealed package so that they wouldn't get lost in a purse, so they remain sterile, etc. Kits expire in a year.

Detects 3 known date-rape drugs, but consider the usage methodology
The "Overdrive Defense Drink Spike Test Kit, Tests for GHB, Roofies (Rohypnol), and Ketamine, Instant Results, Safe & Easy to Use, 2 Pack" is an interesting product: it is a test kit intended to detect date-rape drugs that may have been introduced into beverages. According to the box, it does not matter whether the drinks are alcoholic or not, the test should work in either case. The box contains two test kits, which are reminiscent of COVID-19 tests. Each kit consists of a dropper, a vial ("water tube"), and a test card. To test a beverage, use the dropper to take a sample, put just 2 drops of the beverate into the vial, stir it, then pour 3 drops it onto an inlet on the test card. Within 5 minutes, the test card will change color if it detects the presence of the targeted drugs. On the test card, one viewport contains an area for the "control" detection. Just like COVID-19 tests, if this area does not work, the test is not valid. This test kit detects three types of drugs:Gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB), is a central nervous system depressant used as an intoxicant. Some effects it elicits are euphoria, disinhibition, enhanced libido and empathogenic states.Ketamine induces a state of dissociative anesthesia, a trance-like state providing pain relief, sedation, and amnesia. It is characterised by a sense of detachment from one's physical body and the external world that is known as depersonalization and derealization.Flunitrazepam (brand name Rohypnol), nicknamed "roofies" or "floonies": is widely known for its use as a date rape drug. It is known to induce anterograde amnesia in sufficient doses; individuals are unable to remember certain events that they experienced while under the influence of the drug, which complicates investigations. All the above are well-documented as date-rape drugs. Though I have no knowledge of the frequency/prevalence of their use, this test kit appears to be on target for its intended use.Putting aside chemistry, a user has to consider the social aspects of this product: if faced with a situation requiring its use, can a person put the kit to use? I think it is mainly useful in settings where a person, who suspects of being targeted, can recuse him/herself. If you are at a bar or public venue with people around, you can momentarily slip away to a bathroom with your drink, and take 5 mintues to test a sample. If however you are alone with another person with suspicious intentions, this test kit might not be useful. I do with the vials were a little wider. so that if in a hurry, a stressed person could use a straw instead of the dropper to collect and deposit samples. Four stars.
