Our soil here in Northern VA is really alkaline and this has really helped the growth of the plants. So far have used it on curry leaves, lemon grass, mint and Holy basil! Spraying the leaves directly appears to have almost instant results. I prefer spraying in early morn or late evening. **Q: Is lead an ingredient?** A: There's no lead listed on the label. One thing you have to be extremely careful with is, you will have to have a way to ph your water and you'll have to have "ph up". A very small amount of this product will drastically change the ph to super acidic. This is why some people have burned their plants when spraying the leaves with it. No joke a 5ml tsp of this in a couple of gallons, will drop the water ph from 6.7 to the 3's.
