Catalyst Influence Case for iPhone 16 Pro, 2.5X Higher Drop Proof, Non-Slip Frosted Edges and Non Magsafe Crystal Clear Back, Raised Edges Protection, 30% Louder Forward Audio, Lanyard Included

The media could not be loaded. I bought this case to show off my iPhone 16 Pro, but was looking for more protection than a cheap slim crystal case. This Catalyst case looked pretty clean while still being rugged. I don’t like the military styling of some other rugged cases. This Catalyst Influence case feels really good in the hand. It has tapered edges on the bumper, which is way more comfortable for my fingers to wrap around, but it’s also easy to slip into my pockets. It’s hard to see, but the sides have a grippy texture that prevents it from slipping from my grasp.A few really stand out features, in my opinion:1. The bumper and corners feel SOLID. Like, break my table solid. I have zero fear of my phone breaking if I should ever drop it while in this case.2. The front screen and the camera lens on the back are well protected from scratches and bumps, but I’ll still add glass screen protectors just in case so I won’t ever need to replace them.3. The Camera Control button access: I saw some other cases that had a huge hole in the side but they had a lot of complaints because it was right where your thumb would go. I was a little worried, but after getting this case, the carve out for the Camera Control button is large enough for easy access and the shape is really comfortable and natural to hold.4. METAL BUTTONS! Like actual metal (aluminum?), not painted silver plastic. They feel so good! And the clickiness (is that a word?) is awesome. Makes me want to press the buttons like a fidget toy. The iPhone doesn’t like when I do that ☹️Overall, this case feels super solid. The fit is tight and perfect. It’s a big step up over my last case. It gives me confidence that my iPhone will be safe. That’s good news especially since I was too cheap to buy extra Apple Care hehe.One thing that annoyed me was the packaging. It looks nice, but I couldn’t open it up without tearing it. Not a big deal, but fair warning to be super careful opening it if you might need to return it for a refund. Doesn't matter to me since I’m going to keep this one.Edit: Just before I was about to post my review, I watched a YouTube video on my phone and only then did I realize the iPhone speaker sound is coming out of the FRONT, aimed right at me! I’ve never seen (heard?) another case do that!? Other cases just have holes at the bottom, and the sound shoots out straight, just like the regular iPhone without a case. Not bad but not always loud enough. This Catalyst Influence case redirects the audio out the front, so it actually sounds louder because it’s pointed right at me! Duuuuude. This is SO GOOD and way easier to hear for family Facetime calls, especially when there’s a lot of noise in the background!

The small area around the new camera button has no support for absorbing shock (it’s flat plastic). I did not even drop my phone. I have two phones in one pocket. They must’ve just bumped each other while working out. Screen protector was a couple days old.
