I am happy with this ONNAIS safe. The construction is sturdy, and the textured powder coating is perfect. The safe comes with clear and easy-to-understand directions, which made setting up the keypad lock and fingerprint biometrics a breeze, under 2 minutes. Resetting the lock options are also easy, simply by holding down the reset button for a few seconds. I love that the safe came with two keys, a metal cable for securement, and screws so the safe can be bolted down. The safe gives the option to save up to 30 fingerprints! That is fantastic! That way you can scan every finger on both hands and have a spouse or whoever might also need to access the safe scan their fingers as well. I like the option of being able to scan so many fingerprints because in a jam, you never know what finger might be hitting the biometric fingerprint reader. You can also use some of the 30 scans for multiple parts of your fingers, so no matter where on your finger you hit the biometric pad, it should pickup your print. Let us talk about the biometric scanner, it is good. I found that it was quick to scan and open the safe. The safe did not come with batteries, but I almost prefer it that way, as I can put new high-quality batteries in myself for both longevity and reliability. The size of the safe is perfect for me, it is big enough to keep all those certain things out of the hands of the people that should not be handling them. ONNAIS advertises this as a pew safe, but you can keep anything of worth in it that you would want to keep hidden and secured. I like that there is padding on the inside of the safe, this keeps the items more secure and less clunking around also helps keep expensive things looking expensive. Overall, it is a great little safe and I feel the price point is exactly right. I do recommend this product.

I use this as my bedside safe for my G3C in the holster, with room for other valuables. It's big enough to house a full sized handgun as well and It works like a charm. I wanted a safe with fingerprint for quick access in the middle of the night in the dark. You can set multiple fingers prints and also use the combination if you please. One last great thing is that, it is super quick to open and locks very well when closed.

Bought this specifically because I now have a young child. I have a primary 16 gun safe, however was looking for a place to store my everyday carry in a nightstand. After looking, I knew I wanted something that would provide quick access, with a key backup to enter the safe. This one has a fairly accurate fingerprint reader, combination keypad, and key/lock options to enter the safe. When access is granted, the lid will spring up about 6-8 inches, giving plenty of clearance for a quick reach for whatever you place inside. You can disable the key tones/button pushes if you prefer quiet access. Additionally this will fit a full size handgun, however I tend to store my Hellcat, a flashlight, and spare magazine with no issues. Drawbacks: No mechanical keypad/quick access that is found on higher priced safes, metal is thin and could easily be defeated if a dedicated thief wanted. This is simply a way to store your firearm from other trusted roommates who shouldn't be playing with things. For ME specifically it meets my needs. Hope this review assists you in your purchase.

I had no problem setting up the code or scanning in the fingerprints. It opens quickly. However when I used it in the dark, like I imagine you would if someone broke in during the night, I noticed that the blue light surrounding the fingerprint scanner flashed way too brightly. It’s blinding. Then there’s no light inside to see your pistol. So I’ve been blinded and now can’t see anything. It would help if the keypad was gently backlit, the light on the scanner wasn’t so bright and it had a light inside. It seems rugged enough, looks good, opens quickly and reliably. It would also benefit from a barrel key as they are harder to pick than the regular key that comes with it. It’s so close to being great. It is however plenty good to keep kids hands off your weapon, which was the primary reason I purchased it. I have already purchased an awesafe that has most of the features I wanted for night time use.

Easy to install batteries and program. Memory has lots of space to store both my husband and my fingerprints. I like that the box pops open. We have a different brand safe similar to this and it does not pop up so we have to manually lift the lid open. Small enough to fit on my night stand.

Really like this little safe.. It appears sturdy and well made, and the weight feels good to me also (not too heavy).It comes with a cable, has foam padding on the inside and instructions and keys. Setting up was quick and easy and I really like the biometric function. For more flexibility, I programmed it with prints from 3 different fingers (two from one hand, one from the other). It reads and opens quickly. Also has the option to open with a passcode. I like the size as well, it seems like it would be good for a night stand/bed side lock box. Overall, very happy with this safe.
